I don't get it either...
His first game wasn't really even cheese; he had a decent economic follow through should he not have been able to win the game with only reapers.
The third obvioulsy was though, and it sure didn't work out very well. He pulled off SCV's and didn't do anything with them for quite awhile, that's just bad play.
At any rate, the better player won today.

I actually feel quite bad for the protoss players now, but hopefully this tournament will finally put to rest all the talk of ZvT imbalance. Tomorrow should be an absolute goldmine of replays for demonstrating arguments of balance or lack thereof.

He already knew he was through. He didn't want a long, frustrating, drawn out game - he wanted it over and done with.

Is it standard practice to allow a player like TLO to choose his own race through the tourney?
I thought that you had to choose a race or random, and stick with it.

The obvious rationale for DM's play with simply he cannot beat IdrA in a longer game and was doing whatever possible to avoid that. He played the macro game in the 2nd game in hopes that IdrA was emotionally thrown off from the first game.

Personally I'm fine with this. Also it gives his opponents the advantage of knowing what race he will play as opposed to if he goes random.

DM is just honest enough to admit that TvZ reaper/bunker harass is gay. Pretty low risk high reward in general with salvage and the number of lings reapers will kill even if they should die.
So yeah, DM is right, and he doesn't have a problem saying it, which I think is pretty cool of him.
Oh and lol @ the PC people getting offended. Thank god we still have countries where so-called "liberals" don't spend most of their time worrying about restricting free speech.
I'm rooting for Idra for the rest of the tournament.

Demuslim never, ever acknowledges his opponent for beating him. It's always him not playing to his potential. That's why I don't like the guy at all. I'm going to admit though that I don't know what he specifically called gay this time. So maybe people are making a fuss out of nothing this time.
