Doesn't he play Zotac every week? Or is that someone on his account?
I Dunno ... I just read in an interview him saying he had no experience vs Euro players, but I could be wrong?

Whether IdrA plays on every server or not, or whether he thinks he is some amazing figure in SC2, he has proved hardly anything. The best we have seen him so far is in the Smuft tourney. In almost every other tournament we have seen him in, he hasn't even made it to the finals often.
Another problem I have with IdrA is that no matter how the hell he loses it is always cheese. For example, when Lz played him in the final of some tournament, lz fast expanded, and went for an semi-early marine/scv push. Sure, he pulled about 6 scvs to make a push, but how in the world is that a cheese... it is AFTER he has already expanded. Whether it is IdrA being IdrA or not, he needs to get over himself at some point in time, and it would be nice if he did it before sc2 was released.
|
IdrA is arguably one of the top SC2 players at the moment... nothing wrong with that, he's REALLY good. I just think it's a mistake to compare US -> EU -> Asia server comparative skills when there really haven't been any inter-server competitions, aside from maybe 4-5 players who play on multiple servers...

So where's the replay pack?

I have played with both parties and I have also watched many recs from both parties, I am simply saying that I agree with the statement Idra has made, not with the approach he took to making it though. that makes absolutely no fucking sense. you agree that americans are bad europeans are cheesy and asians are better, and you think its fine to make that opinion public, but its not ok to say it bluntly? how fucking stupid is that.
IdrA, just think for a moment what you are saying. You heard it here first folks, IdrA admitted he sucks. I can go down the list of Tournaments where IdrA was eliminated fairly quickly, and then the ones where he didn't even make it to the Finals of US Tournaments.
IdrA you make Scrooge look like a saint.

always about idra, let the boy talk and be a smartass, you're a good player but you have no brainssssss, you're a sore loser and a bm douche. as louder said all you do is one build over and over. you nerd rage every game you lose saying how cheesy people are even when they beat you in a straight up mirror match. last time we played you made a lot of sense "it's ridiculous how being bad wins games" or some shit, cuz i transfered drones to golden minerals instead of making new ones lol(it seemed to work), im sorry we don't all play quite as much as you, and we haven't all devoted our lifes to gaming exclusively, and nothing more, eat game sleep, no friends no girlfriends (and i doubt you'll ever have one), all you do is trash talk behind a screen but people who have seen you say you're a pretty shallow little boy "in real life" but of course real life isnt "real life" to you... that screen where you're almighty is your real life. just learn to lose, learn to have some fun, manner up, treat people like you'd treat them in person, don't be such a coward, im sure there's a nice smart little child inside of you... LET HIM FLYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY <3

If you want to share replays, but have nowhere to upload them, here are a few upload sites: MySites.com Mediafire Megaupload 2shared
Copied for the replay thread. Hopefully this will help, but I don't have experience uploading reps either.

There is no class of people that is better at another then playing at video games. The simple reason why the asians dominated SC besides how the scene grew and was immersed by a country was a result of Player base size. If there was 400 americans 500 europeans and 800 asians all playing sc2. Ideally the asian group is going to be better because they will be playing in there group of 800 people Where strats will be evolving at a faster pace as well as the amount of mass players and the odd balls like ( jaedong ), Flash ect. It is absolutely rediculous to say that those odd balls and mass players dont exist in the American/Euro scene.. Keep that in mind. Asians only seem better because they have a LARGER player POOL. infact if americans had the same player pool im sure they would do much better.. i mean if you believe in stereotypes. Americans focused on having fun... Work hard asians.....(school)
|
lol, you say its only because of player pool and then say that americans focus on having fun and that asians work hard. theres a reason the mass practicers are odd balls amongst foreigners and not amongst koreans/chinese. their culture promotes a better work ethic than westerners, which means that yes, they are better at video games, and anything else that can benefit from massive amounts of practice.

Please invite root gaming and team quebec
Media will go down np

Having fun is more important then worth ethic. Without the passion there is no fuel for the fire. And there is mass gamers in each. But there more common in asia cause of the player pool. More players playing Around them as well.. Its linked with there enviorment. which is probably fueling the competition more for them... just speculation tho.

wrong
working smarter and efficiently, getting the most for the time you put in is the most important factor, smart players simply learn more from each game they play.
If you play 100 games, versus 100 games where you analyze, improve, and self critique you will notice a huge difference. Replays themselves are a huge key to getting better, not just mass gaming.

ofc. and thats what the better players do.. And just about everyone is capable of it...But as any pro in the history of SC would tell you. without passion you wont improve... Look at nada...savior..don't tell me these players arn't capable anymore. They could come back and just be as strong as flash or jaedong if they had the passion they once had in my honest opinion. and people shouldnt belittle idras play. Ideally he will be the best player a month or so down the road when he understands how things work better. Just like everyone is trying to do. When he gets that understanding hes going to beable to adapt to just about anything. and thats when alot of people are going to have to format there builds alot more rather then relying on shock tactics

Re: Idra
We will not be banning him from the tournament. There is no need to do that as this was an invitational event where the prize pool was brought to you by the hospitality of our donators and the work of volunteers. Idra's blatant lack of respect and pathetic behavior will simply prevent him from being invited to all future events.

warturtle, Slush is now a member of our team, but he might be out of town on saturday, if he isnt' there's a chance we'll apply 2 'root' teams, i believe bubba is gonna be inactive for a bit while finishing school, so ideally, our 2 teams would be : sheth drewbie and i + qxc cauthonluck and slush. either way that is the best case scenario assuming slush is in town, cauthon can get out early from work, i'd have to request off from work again AND we'd have to get picked.odds are that's not all gonna happen
but thanks a lot for your support and the tournaments you've been hosting

I don't know the macro is ridiculously simpler in SC2, it's all the much smaller things that are more important like surprising the opponent and having intelligent counter builds.
I dont think a "guide to XvX" will be created anytime soon
