nah, I was a part of that victory.. just he had a bit of a more contributory role. So I am hoping to get to try again in the next tourney!

Exactly like I said!

ggs. While the Winner's League Format is cool, I think it doesn't work quite as well in a tournament where the skill is slightly more imbalanced, because then it is possible for one player to run through every other team. Would have enjoyed seeing more of Artosis and Incontrol.

Still, great tournament.

You mean like the actual Winner's League where Flash = victory?

Pretty sure he was referring to Flash's monstrous domination ratio for the entirety of the SWL, so consider your finals unspoiled, good sir!

it means about 4 people on the server have the slightest clue how to play the game

Do you mean the US server is much weaker, or are you talking about every server? If the former, why?
No I'm never serious.

us server is trash, probably cuz the best rts players like nony and skew arent taking it all that seriously and our rts skill pool wasnt all that deep to begin with.. euros better for now but its mainly cheese which will continue to get worse as people figure out the game more and more, and you'll be left with people like ret on top. asia is already far ahead in terms of absolute skill and will just continue to pull away, though to be fair if you dropped lucifron or whatever into asia hed rape face for a while just cuz cheese is still really strong right now as solid defensive play takes longer to thoroughly figure out.

lucifron pretty much dominated 2008 both korean and european tournaments for warcraft 3. Taking down one of the best players of all time like Moon, Lyn etc. In more than one occasion. If you were to drop Lucifron in asia as you said, I would say he'd be top 5, no doubt. And not with cheese but with solid play.

In any case as of now hes not taking it seriously and is focused on studies.

Here's a reasonable analogy, if you watch football on TV they try very hard not to pick up the incredibly BM chatter that the players have, you can pick it up sometimes but the point is it's not supposed to be part of the sport... Let your play do the talking ( to the viewers especially ) and all that

Except they don't prevent the trash talk from occurring. The only thing prohibited is gestures towards the fans, towards the players is completely okay and considered part of the game by anyone who plays it. If the goal is to keep chat entries clean, then you disable chat on whoever's streaming.

Great games, IdrA!

There is absolutely no reason that being a professional means that he has to be mannered. Hockey players talk shit and fight all the time and the fans love it.

Here's the difference: in football, basketball, etc, when you talk shit its usually after you have made a great play and shut someone down.

When Idra talks shit, its usually after he loses, so he just sounds like a whiner.

IdrA's comments that game were after thoroughly dominating Moonglade and shutting down his sneak attack.

Thanks, useful to see what someone who has access to all the servers thinks.

It makes sense that it's currently Asia>Euro>US since if you're talking about the pure number of top level RTS players it's the same inequalities.

He did the same with Orc in Warcraft 3. It's interesting how he picks the right race for the right game all the time. However, that being said, he did come up with that marauder rush the first time and discover how strong it was so all due credit to him there.

Media defeats Assembly Redialing 4-1

Game 1 - Lost Temple - incontrol (P) < qxc (T)
Game 2 - Kalus Ravine - Idra (Z) > qxc (T)
Game 3 - Steppes of War - Idra (Z) > zelniq (Z)
Game 4 - Scrap Station - qxc (T) > cowsrule (Z)
Game 5 - Lost Temple - Idra > qxc

There's a mistake here. Game 4 it was Idra who beat cowsrule.
Congrats to team Media!
