cause I don't play mech I just want to say something about your opening:
I think you overreacted a lot. You build up 4 widow mines, instantly an engineering bay, a turret, a bunker @ front, 2 turrets (after expanding up to 4).
I think you should get more information out of your scv scout if you poke in a second time @4,30ish. Also getting 1 reaper could help to get a proper sense of whats going on. Other than that I think you should try to defend with either 4 mines or turrets but not both. At last I would hide the factory (so maybe don't wall in). You can see that he immediately went a robot bay after the stargate cause he saw you are most likely going mech. I think you should let the protoss player be in the dark for as long as possible in the opening stages. Also you are completely passive. When I watch goody's stream I am astound how much he drops with widow mines and hellbats or does blueflame runbys. You tried nothing to try to weaken his economy.

Ok thanks.. I see those issues you pointed out. I was kinda on lazy-mode, I thought I had this game.. Actually I thought there is no way he can devastate my fully upgraded army in such fashion. Thank you anyways.
I love Hellion Banshee openers in TvZ. I want to use a greedier version of the build, ie I'd like to add a 3rd CC earlier. Any suggestions how I should do this? Does anyone use this build in HOTS?

I actually stoped playing Hellion/Banshee in HotS, but I'd recommend you to build your third as you build the first Hellions/Starport. At least that is what i did in WoL(fast 2 Ebays if you want to be super greedy)

i think lots of people did this back in wol as well, you only get one gas rather than 2 after you build your 2nd cc....then im pretty sure you skip cloak with this build as i dont think you have the gas for it.
lots of people would do this into bio I think, where they only make one banshee and one viking along with the reactor hellions before going into double engi bay and throwing down a lot of rax

What do you recommend in HotS? I'm open to fun styles that allow me to be aggressive but I'm comfortable and find hellion banshee fun & challenging.
Are there any really powerful 1 base timings vs Protoss these days now with MsC? I feel like Protoss have lots of 1 base all-ins vs Terran but we don't have any vs them... if someone has figured one out please let me know. I'm getting tired of playing 20 minute macro games all the time.

Hi everyone i am currently a high plat terran, have 60% winrate vT and 71% vZ (i call myself PatchTerran lol) but my horrible TvP (20++%) had been stopping me from going to diamond.
Need some advice on TvP build order. I am good at pressure+expand behind into 3 base Terran play. I utilize reaper opening + 1 mediviac Mines drop + expand into 3 base play very efficiently especially on Zerg. However i stop using reaper opening vs P due to most of the P open with 2 gases into MSC + Stalker follow up with oracle play. This always force me into defensive mode and i have to open with reactor barracks with constant marine production to fend off P's aggressive strats.
I always have problems if i am on the defensive side because i tend to over react and always dont know when its safe to move out my CC's, And due to this often when my army is out i miss the timing and P will have lots of collosus or archons or templars which make it very hard to deal with.
My strongest style is pressure + expanding behind and i am not sure how to achieve this vs P. If anyone could provide a build order to suit this style it will be greatly appreciated. If not, can anyone provide a build order or timing that can enable me to open reactor barracks defensively but still manage to hit a 13 minutes MMM push against a Protoss.
P/s: I used to do Mines drop to build my 3rd CC's but its working less n less efficient because now all the players are expecting mines drop from T players. I understand that if i master the late game viking + Ghost play it will solve my problem. I am working on that as well.

Hello, so I am a Diamond terran and I am currently really struggling vs protoss stargate into all ins. they typically consist of 2 void rays the msc a bunch of gateway units and oracles. I usually open reactor expand to get enough marines to deal with oracle and then go into factory and another couple rax. It seems even with bunkers I just cant hold on. I die to 1 base all ins so much I feel like a newb.

So you will counter this, if you hide your scv and try scout on 6 min mark, or scan expan toss, in novadays all toss opens with 2 gas. Next step take 1 marine and check proxy spot for stargate. And try not delay mines, they are key in defend every all in. And last thing if you have bunker on expand, try choice - you fight on expand and build more bunkers, question is how many time you have when push begun and when you scout it. If it happens and you don`t prepared, so you have 1 bunk few mines one of them on your main, and some marines, you can always choise to go back, make few bunkers on main ramp, and defence there. The major point in this defend scv with first mine. Next step scout toss, and make some preparations like bunker on main ramp, if you expect any all in.
plat league here, having a lot of trouble vs protoss early game agression/all ins. they have so much variety right now i seriously can't be ready for everything.

diamond terran. I have a question regarding the old 10 min medivac timing in TvP. How are other terran generally hitting this timing in HOTS, given that we are getting gas before expand instead of 1 rax fe? I assume it's something like "gas, reactor rax, expand, fact, starport plus gas, double rax plus ebay, medivacs"?

I have also been struggling with this
I find that a few hellions to target banes and the rest mines does the job pretty well.

Basic 1/1/1 tank push is really strong these days, give it a try.. Also, cloak banshee can catch a lot of people off guard, because nobody expects banshee now with possible widow mines.
