What are some good openers in each match up? can anyone hook me up with a replay of a good helion opening into tank marine in TvZ, kinda old school? In TvT I have no idea what I'm doing but I like playing marine tank there as well. If anyone could share a good opener that transitions well into tank/bio in TvT as well that would be great. In TvP I feel kinda ok. I just go standard bio medivac and try to out macro my opponent. It feels like you can't do any aggresive openers in TvP without going all in.

I'm a bit lost now, with the "new" ladder system i have a lot of matches with diamonds and masters (i'm in gold now) and my old builds doesn't works nice now.
Anybody can drop some replays to take them as reference and copy the build to improving my game? I want know what builds works for you now. Thank You

Ok, so is there any safe build for TvP that can make me safe against almost all attacks? I mean it might put me slightly behind but at this point I am ready to slam my keyboard through my computer screen since all I ever seem to VS is protoss cheese, so I mean like builds that is expansion based but will keep me safe from most toss all ins even with a lack of scouting.
I am highly confident in my mechanics and I really do believe even if I am slightly behind I can bring it back in late game and crush protoss

Honestly the most defensive Opener I've been going for is 1 Rax Expand emphasizing on getting as many marines as I can out . Your scout leaves your base at 2:45 and you react accordingly.

Reaper FE. You should be able to scout most cheeses if you count pylons, and you can add fact/ebay earlier to respond.

How can you hold a Blink all in on Star Station vs GM Protoss? Seems to be near impossible for me. The micro is too good, and the main base on the map has too much surface. Simply put, far too many locations for stalkers to blink into. Add onto that the fact that protoss can either A. Tech behind the all in. or B. expand behind it and stop stalker production while continuing to contain you on 1 base.
The obvious response is lifting your natural into your main, producing tanks & having proper bunker positioning. But I feel like with all of that, If it's a good protoss It's still impossible to hold. That is unless they make a huge error with their micro. Are their any tips/tricks anyone can share for defending vs GM protoss blink all in's on this map? (also Yeonsu to a lesser extent.)

Hey guys, very silly question. So you have opened reaper, right as your reaper finishes a zealot comes up your ramp. Nothing crazy just a proxy 10 gate, but then a probe comes in as you kite the zealot and drops, a pylon, then a cannon and another gate. What is the best response? marauder + bunkers, insta scv pull on pylon? what if there is already a cannon that you didn't see? I have seen variations of cannon + proxy gates in my main a few times before and I actually don't know what the appropriate response is with reaper opener? Anyone actually experienced this build and know what the best defense is? Thanks!

Pretty much what you stated already is how to defend it.... its the afterwards that makes this strategy so strong..... You have to get Marauders and Stim out with MEDS ASAP and scan natural at about 8:45 to see if its truly an all in. If its not an all-in you are going to be facing Templar Tech or Dts most likely Templar tech as DTs are good most Terrans at that level of play will have a E bay out and 2 CCs so its a Hard Gamble to play DTs and get away with it that late in the game on just 2 bases....
Seeing how that is true you will have to pretty much conserve as much army as possible when playing the Blink stalker and stay on top of your macro ( which is why tanks are good against the play because it conserves army). Those 2 Ideas will pretty much determine how the game will play out. Dropping will be difficult as he will have Blink stalkers and Templars so winning the engagement with High amounts of Marauder and Marine is going to be key while getting a 3rd and getting your ghost/viking tech up.

If they're dropping a cannon it means they also got a forge with their proxy gateway. Something as simple as a standard SCV scout prior to the reaper should give you more than enough warning to setup a defense beforehand.

If this is happening a lot to you don't be afraid to wall off your main when building your Supply depot and Rax and put your second supply depot right next to your rax.... without vision on the highground you can just kill the cannon and the probe will never get into your base LOL. If you don't block off Just make a bunker Asap right in between the cannons and your base and keep making marines and just repair bunker and go back to macroing normal really....

So I'm having a tough time sniping obs in TvP so my ghosts can close and emp the templar. My biggest problem is being able to even spot the obs in the first place. Even when I scan all over the place, they are so god damn hard to see. Any tips or tricks for quickly spotting and sniping obs?

I have pretty bad eyes as well, and my trick to sniping obs is just going back into a lot of my TvP replays, streams and tournaments and seeing where the most common obs placement is. I also go back and see what it looks like when it moves and roughly when I should expect obs, that way I can try extra hard to notice it.

Gold Terran here with two things I need your help with 1) I'm trying stop using the select all army hotkey. Any tips on how to achieve that? I made the hotkey unavailable but I find myself clicking the icon now instead. I always seem to do it in high pressure situations.
2) How do I scout a 2 base allin in TvP? Sometimes they just walk across the map with 2 colossus and kill me before my viking count is high enough.

Day9 did a daily a little while ago on getting more medivacs rather than vikings early game this might help you because it takes too long to get out a juicy number of vikings on only one starport. I think it was in august look up polts tvp daily I think someone linked it in here not too long ago as well.

The Select All Army hotkey isn't inherently bad. It's a good way to find units to add on hotkeys like ghosts and vikings and stuff. It's also good in panic situations. But there's no real advice to stop you using other then "just fucking don't click it". So stop fucking clicking it.
Depends on what kind. If it's pre medivacs then you can scan and try and geta reaper in, looking for tech and gateway count and how many sentries or whatever they have. If it's post medivacs you can't scout it, you just need to realise he's moving out as soon as possible whilst having units roaming the map for pylons. The pylon is an important point, if protoss has to move a probe out with his army and make a pylon with that you have just enough time to set up a bunch of bunkers. They really do want to have one already out on the map to warp in at whilst they hit you.

Has anyone experimented with swapping x2 Factorys to the 2 reactored Barracks roughly when you go up to 7-8 rax on 3 bases (11min?)?
Around this time you will have an armory, and a spare factory that you can add a TL to to research blueflame for x5 hellbat production. I think you could cut vikings a little bit longer (**if no 2 base collo all in is scouted**) if you go hellbat/marauder for the mid game, while trying to get to Ghost/Viking for a late game comp. Hellbats will do a pretty good chunk of damage against the common mass zealot + t3 tech Protoss seems to favour, and vikings will now also benefit from the +1 vehicle weapons, making getting to them a little bit easier gas-wise.
Am I talking sense or is this just nonsense?
