For example I have group from 5 hatcheries and accidently put queen to it. How to remove the queen quickly as it takes to much time to reasign all the hatches.

before I say anything, i want to say thanks to makers of theCore - it really did help with all the problems I had with standard layout. Great job guys ![]() Now to my question - I was wondering why is camera hotkeys for free cams are so different to centered ones. To be more precise, the two ramp/chrono cameras (I use PRM) are created with shift+ctrl as opposed to just alt (this I would assume is just because you dont want to use ALT to center camera to one of the buildings in the area? I personally disabled ALT centering altogether, I just use ALT+key for the "centered" cameras anyways). And what is more important to me, why is jumping to this locations done with different shortcuts? I dont see a reason why I cant do that with SHIFT+key also, so if someone would enlighten me I would be grateful ![]() To conclude, is it possible to change hotkeys for chrono cameras to resemble the centered ones, without doing something that would cause problems/break the layout? I dont use chrono cams yet solely because I am unsure of the hotkeys, but would love to practice the warpin drill etc.

so, if I understand it well, I can jump to location by SHIFT+I, but i cant for SHIFT+J? (As J is my attack move command). But still, 1 chrono camera better than none, thanks EDIT or probably not even SHIFT+I, so I guess i ll use CTRL instead.

An ability is pretty much anything that isn't a control group, camera, or other global command.

5 6 7 9 2 1 8 4 3 0 instead of 7 8 9 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 the latter makes more sense to me since they are in order that way, but if there's any reason behind it being this way I'd like to hear it before I change.

![]() edit: Oh, and you are probably aware of this already, but the new combined Vehicle/Ship Weapon Upgrades for terran is not in the latest version (bound to E by default, easy to change yourself so not a big deal), and the hotkey practice map is broken since it wants you to use upgrades that are no longer in the game (Not sure if it's your map, but might as well post it here).

![]() I don't have contact with that map maker. TheCore 1.1 should be released in December with this change.

So here's the question. What key is optimal for Hatcheries? is it still Control Group 1? and Queens for Control group 2? I started off learning and added it to control group 8 so that there was a slight space, but then I started to notice as I made more advanced units, my fingers didn't conform to the layout as well than if it were set to Control Group 1. Also, I noticed that Select control group 1, add to control group 1 and Set control group 1 are not common to each other, all different keys and fairly spread out. P = select CG1 alt+J = add to CG1 ctrl+shift+H = Set CG1 Would it make more sense to make "Add to CG1" and "Set CG1" both to J or H? or is there another reason it's laid out like this? I browsed through a few pages and just couldn't find the answer, I tried to find it before asking as I'm sure it's already been asked before. But maybe in reference to a previous version.

I can't remember why we did that exactly, but I'm pretty sure Beedebdoo figured it out. I'll see if I can find him (or he may just respond to your post).

![]() Also had to remove the "Center camera on current selection" from alt in order to do the egg drill, otherwise it will focus back in on your eggs when you add them to your control group with Alt.

Wait what? You shouldn't have alt as add to CG unless its your hatchery CG.

I simply disabled that in the global hotkeys, under camera options. So now Alt+J allows me to add to ctrl group 1 without centering me on the selection. This now allows me to perform egg drills without having it center back in on the eggs I have selected while adding them to ctrl group1. As you said, ctrl group 1 is made for hatcheries (I was using it for lings at the time prior to asking here). But if you add a hatchery to CG1 instead, it will center in on that hatch. I'm pretty sure this was done with the intent of course because Hatches go on CG1 with this layout, but... under the false assumption that you will always be centered in on the hatch you're adding to CG1 anyway. I sometimes add in hatches to the CG as I have the drone selected and wait for it to morph, but I don't necessarily want to see the hatch I'm adding as I know where I just built it. If it helps further, I can just show you a replay and you can see it first person. I downloaded mine from the Skydrive link just in case you want to try it out "out of the box" as it's being presented to new users. Hope this helps, Jon.
