Scenario: Late game ZvT (going ultra infestor queen vs biomine) / ZvP (going queen / corrupter / sh vs skytoss). Need an efficient way to collect queens. Ideal mechanic: Hold ctrl and click queens + control group while cycling bases. Problem in current ZRM layout: Base cam is on shift+', so you have to alternate between ctrl and shift while going through the bases as the ctrl+shift combo will override the control group. Proposed solutions: 1) Move the base cam off of a shift modifier, though this means reworking of the base cycle inject method - but this is probably a good thing, inject is on the rapid fire key and shift causes some buggy behaviour with rapid fire actually disabling it in my experience meaning you have to click manually anyway. Putting cycle base cam on a non-layered key nullifies this conflict then you can just select queens, hold down rapid fire key and tap the base cam cycle key. The only constraint is that the base cam key has to be in easy reach of the rapid fire key... Is the application key bind-able? 2) Put the base cam key on a ctrl+key layer instead of a shift+key. Problems - I think the base cam inject with rapid fire still has a conflict due to the modifier though I might be wrong. If there is a conflict here then the method ceases to work (as you then need the ctrl+shift combo to get it to work - the same conflict in the current layout for gathering queens). Thoughts?

Have an alternate binding for cycle base cam that is not on a layer and keep the current setup. In my opinion however I think 1) is the best solution if a key can be found that's in easy reach of rapid fire. Though you could always inject with the alternate 3) in this fashion anyway.

When I collect queens late game I just select my queen CG and bind all my queens to an army CG. Is there a downside to this?

Definitely want to figure out a way to make that work. I don't think solution 1) works. Have you tested it? I need to hop into the game and play around a bit before I fully understand your ideas. Busy at the moment, but I'll check it out later today. Also, this got buried in the last page. I don't 100% understand what's going on here, can anyone help? The current version requires you to access queens with shift + cg. At high level play, this is troublesome because the shift modifier transfers over to other CGs and queens end up on the other side of map. Forcing the user to shift + CG to acess queens causes many problems. I did it before it was required but now that it is required it is too slow and causes problems. Dealing with drops and targetting queens on medivacs is also very difficult shift + CG is not easy at all...sfhit + cg is easy to inject but that is it. It should not be mandatory so to avoid this...I unbinded shift + [ and wanted to go back to my old way using "]" for queens. I was able to hold shift and press "]" and now I am unable to hold shift and press the "]" cg to access queens, I was able to do this in 0.6.3.

Who's maintaining this? Is this project dead? I downloaded from here: https://skydrive.live.com/?cid=2390A95317ACD544&id=2390A95317ACD544!107#cid=2390A95317ACD544&id=2390A95317ACD544!115 Maybe there's a different link with updated hotkey files?

I think something got lost in the final conversion step. My dvorak layout looks like it's from prior to v 0.8.2, as the keys on it don't match the spreadsheet / the announced changes for 0,8,2. Would it be possible to run all the conversions again and reupload Jak?

Running all the conversions is very unlikely to work. I'll do it just in case, but in the mean time, if people that are having issues can site specific examples it will be extremely helpful. Instead of saying "like most of the control groups are not binded to any keys" Say something like: "Create, Add to, and Recall for Control groups 1-7 on PRS are unbound." Otherwise I'm taking shots in the dark trying to figure out wtf is going on ![]() EDIT: Just double checked PRS. Create, Add to, and Select for Control Group 10 is unbound, and Select for Control group 9 is unbound for US Qwerty (which is the version you linked). This has always been the case, as there is not enough room for these control groups in the small version (without modification). Maybe you aren't downloading the right keyboard?

In the PTR versions, spawn creep tumor is on rapid fire and this is useful as you don't have to hit two buttons + shift to spam creep from queens, and the 'make tumor' is consistent for creep tumors. Care to explain why inject is rapid fire in the zerg version, but creep is rapid fire in the PTR? Also as mentioned before: ERROR IN FILES: ZRM Dvorak Spreadsheet says that Extractor should be on 'h' and spore should be on 'c', but in the file extractor is actually on 'c' and spore is on 'h'. (Note: 'h' is 'j' in qwerty and 'c' is 'i' in qwerty)

So yeah, decided I'm going to use 0 as the 'army queen' control group then the mechanic is to spam left click (in center of screen - queens always spawn in the same place) while holding ctrl and tapping f9, 0, f9, 0, ... Though I can't help but feel that using ']' as the base cycle key would allow more flexibility for control group assignment. Why do we have 2 cancel buttons anyway (']' and '.')?

There are 2 cancel keys so the player can choose which they prefer. Feel free to use the other one for base camera. I definitely think we can optimize the queen round up / base camera thing. Seeing this really convinces me of a real, non-stylistic use for the base camera. I'm going to spend some time tomorrow messing around with this ![]()

I just picked up the core 1.0, I was using the alpha 1.0 earlier. There have been some re-arrangement in keys, and I am trying to get my head around it right now. It take such a time grinding in the new hotkeys on real games so I thought I the hotkey trainer you are referencing to on page 287 a try. Unfortunately that custom map does not seem to be available on the EU server. Do you know if it would work if I get another battlenet account and join the north american server would work, and give me access to the hotkey trainer? Thanks a lot Niklas

If i decide to switch region, will I loose my current place in the league I am playing on the EU server or can I run multiple regions on one account? I am switching regularly between American and European servers, and have an independent ladder placement on each server, a different portrait and have to install TheCore hotkeys twice.
