TvZ, the 2base pressure, what unit composition should I go for?
TvP, 3rax, 2 tech and 1 reactor? Or what marine/marauder ratio should I aim for? What upgrades to get first?

What upgrades to get first? for tvp, you should get 2 reactors, 1 tech lab (current metagame now i think) and you should have a lot more marines and like a few marauders. i'd say 80:20 in your first big push. and obv you should go for weapon upgrades... stim... combat shields... concussive shells. etc | ||

I would also advice you to watch some streams of progamers and have a look out for some normal macro builds you can copy. Also you can browse the ipl vods and see if you find anything those games are mostly really good to steal a build. | ||

Everyone does it differently but the build that I find works best vs the largest variety of P openings (it deviates if I scout 1 base is gas before bunker on third marine, techlab after 4 marines, stim immediately. Then 2 more rax (and second gas if no voids) one marine out of the 2 naked rax. If no blink incoming, 2 reactors. Ebay, +1 then factory as you can afford them. Combat shield starts while factory is under construction, then reactor on factory amd start starport. I make only 2 to 3 marauders before 10 mins and that allows me to stay on two gas and get all 3 upgrades + medivacs by 10 minutes. As I move out, I take my third, two more gas and harass while getting concussive, +1 armor, dropping an armory, second Ebay. Then I start 2 more gas, +2+2, 3 more techlabbed rax, and either a ghost academy or second starport depending on whether I saw a colossus den or not. Ghosts, ghost upgrades, and nukes use a ton of gas but if that is not your style you don't need six that early. If I cant do damage directly at 10 mins, (my build hits way sooner than Bombers and is safer vs allins in the hands of noobies like myself) then I camp at the third with my medivacs and either deny it or just load up and drop the main when they move their whole army to evict me. TLDR: Stim 2 reactors Ebay +1 Fact, combat shield, medivacs 3rd CC, 2nd Ebay, armory | ||

Hey I can't link you directly but day9 did a tvt recently of taeja vs uh I think bomber or some other high level Korean in a tvt on metropolis. I watched it, and it was just a normal marine tank game -.- EDIT: Still looking for a game where a pro/high level player uses nukes to force unsiege tanks. Basically bio vs mech The only player I know of that uses nukes during the late game of TvT is avilo. He's a GM/High-Master. However, he generally goes mech in TvT. You would have to watch his stream, though, as he doesn't really release replays. | ||

So....I guess I have to give in...Bio is too hard to play, so what is generally a good and SAFE opener for mech in TvT? I only mech in TvT because I feel like I have to.... I think cloakshee is good, but what about going 2 starport cloakshee? Will this put me too far behind? What do you think about this? Or, I should ask, is there any mech opener that opens with 1 Rax FE? I love that build haha Thank you ![]() | ||

It's also really damn safe especially considering you can throw in a few hellions to help defend your front from marine pressure and the banshee will come out long before the other T has enough tanks to really pressure your bunker/s. | ||

If you do this build, you will probably die to the marine hellion elevator build that is popular on the EU ladder right now. I'd recommend the reaper expand into 1/1/1, giving the techlab to the factory when you've made enough reapers. Reapers can give you scouting information inside the enemys base and you can see if he's either going for something aggressive or just expading like you. | ||

Can someone else confirm just to make sure, if 1 rax FE into banshee is good? Also, what are your thoughts of going 2 starport as opener? I think it is of course expensive, but can be pretty decent? | ||
