This means one of a few things.
Your positioning is terrible and/or you don't have sufficient forcefields. Forcefields are a MUST against roaches.
He's outmacroing you to kill your army AND reinforce with roaches. If he's up 2+ bases on you, you're pretty much screwed, so just max and pray.
Upgrades. Upgraded roaches kill gateway units so fast which is why you need forcefields. Upgrade advantage + sufficient colossi count vs roaches = you win so easy lols
A replay would help, but this is probably why you're dying to roaches.
From your assessment, I think it must just be a larger macro problem with my play. I will however address your points in turn, as to give a better accounting of myself.
First, I don't have any trouble killing roaches. Colossi, forcefields, zealots, yada yada - no problem. The force that's doing damage is the broodlord infestor corruptor etc force, which is followed up by roaches so fast I don't have enough colossi/gateway units.
Outmacro has been a problem in the past, but to take the last game as an example I was actually shutting down his expansions, we had equal bases and this still occurred. Still, it's something I do need to work on in my PvZ.
This is happening right in the lategame - I had 3/3, and while I confess I did not check his I assumed his roaches were 3/3 also.
Anyway, thank you for your feedback - it's becoming clearer to me now that it's probably not a problem I need to fix but one I need to avoid. Perhaps more production + making sure I have income (in the last game I kept running out of minerals, which was very weird; I obviously just didn't have enough probes). Furthermore, if I did go back through and look at every replay this happened I would probably spot a big mistake in all of them - different causes of the same problem (eg, in the last game I scouted his third way too late and I should have pressured him as soon as he took it that early).
In the meantime, I'll try not to develop blattaphobia.

You didn't give sufficient context. I was assuming it was a roach/hydra/corrupter army and then remax on roaches.
If it's an infestor/BL/roach army you're losing to, it means you're not engaging properly with the correct unit composition.

I was watching White-Ra's Youtube channel this morning and found that in some of his PvZ games when he FFE, he will cannon rush the Zergs third base. I was wondering how viable is this against a first third hatch and whether it's something that Protoss should incorporate in their builds?

It's actually surprisingly effective because most zergs will only scout for proxy pylon locations, not cannon, so the mineral line and direct surrounding area often goes unscouted. Why not, you know.

How do I stop a cannon rush? I got cannon rushed recently. There came a probe into my base very early in the game, and I thought he'd left, when I went out to scout for myself, and all I saw was a pylon and a forge. I knew that what was going to happen but it was too late as he'd already established 3 cannons and more on the way. He destroyed all my probes, and that was the game. What should I have done?

First and foremost, you should have kept an eye on that probe. The easiest way to stop a cannon rush is to make sure it never really starts. Follow his probe if he's in your base. Always.
If he starts warping in cannons, immediately sending three probes to each cannon will kill off the cannon before it finishes (and then send the probes back to mining once the cannon stops warping in or dies). Don't bother attacking the pylons, as they have extra life and warp in very fast (and he can make extra pylons very cheaply). Keep one probe on his probe at all times.
If you already see a cannon finished in a far corner of your base, you can either choose to zone out his cannons by throwing down a forge and creating your own cannon wall so that he can't push any further into your base, or (depending on how much tech you have up, how good your micro is, and how much time you have before his cannon push reaches your probes, nexus, and buildings) get out a few stalkers to try and take out his cannons.

Playing on KR, alot of terrans seem to be doing 1rax FE with gas, into 1fact 3rax marine/tank pushes.
I go 1gate FE into robo + 2gates, double forge timed for obs hitting his main.
Upon scouting, what should I do?
First marine/tank hits around 9:30 with 3~ tanks and a bunch of un-stimmed marines.
Is it just a simple as Collosus with range? Won't have range in time for first push...

Well it is just All-in if one does not transition out of it, isnt it? But yes, thats what I am looking for.
Cut the race qq, its childish and annoying. Besides that, think about transitions. You get to 2 Bases, get one additional Tech-Step and then you stick to it until you die (Blink PvZ, Colossi PvT). Also put a lot of thought in your FF. They really could use improvement.

Any strat good against zerg. i'm completely lost on against what to do them. just lost to 2 in a row and they were both high gold (i'm in bronze). One guy harassed me with mutas in between and just as looked where he was attacking he'd kill my hts. I think i was behind because i didn't know what to do at the beginning of the game. The other game was that i was completely lost on what to do at the beginning so i ended up being up behind for the rest of the game and ended up losing.
Basically any good opening against zerg and do keep in mind i'm bronze so no ffe please.

This is all correct but just as a small addition to this: if you beat a cannon rush with few losses you've practically won. But DON'T assume that you HAVE won until its actually over. And expect some sort of cheesy follow-up if you take your time in killing him.
I say this from personal experience here. A little while back I beat a cannon rush. I ended up slacking off a bit and messing around...then I got killed by DTs when I pushed his base. Extremely embarrassing situation, so don't let it happen to you.

Try a 3 gate sentry expand. The build should be on TL somewhere. You basically get 3 gates, a nexus then a forge, then a robo/twilight etc etc.

On a map like antiga, what's the best way to deal with 7/8 pool when you ffe? I can build a pylon and cannon in my main and lose no probes but then zerg can take gold or double expo and I fall too far behind. I can even scout the double expo with a probe and I can't 1 base all in to kill it. I am not sure if I can wall in the natural ramp before lings can kill it though maybe I have to pull probes to the natural ramp?

Needs a replay, generally either simcity your natural if you expanded or fight right at the top of your ramp if you are on 1base, you can even wall it off like in pvz with a couple of gateways and that will stop it dead in its tracks.
Any composition and build will do fine as long as you don't let the chargelots engage in an open area and get a surround, but fast colossi is actually the worst possible choice since in low unit numbers (4 colossi or less) chargelot archon actually beats colossus based armies.
Sentries are actually ok vs chargelot archon if you fight in a small space (like a ramp) because if he sends in the archon first, you can forcefield behind him and have some time to snipe it, if you forcefield in front he is forced to back out the zealots and send up the archon, and during all that he will take damage from your ranged units.
