Why does this matter? Thors can't use their AA attack on colossus.
You sure about that? I know queens use their AA attack vs Colossus.

320. (P) Never use pylon as a part of wall, exception is when u need 3 buildings to create choke on the ramp, for example scrap station.

remove tip 312 whoever wrote that is either trolling or just trying to think of things as he sits here typing them. thors CAN'T use their AA on collosus ><

(Z) if your queens are lifted up by phoenix you can transfuse them with other queens on the ground to keep them alive

A zealot with +1 armour upgrade whilst under the effect of a Guardian Shield will take 110 shots from an un-upgraded marine.
You can dodge ranged attacks which aren't instant hit by picking up a unit in a dropship / overlord just before the attack hits.

You are however right, so I removed atleast the first few oddities, since the first tips usually sets the "tone" for the remaining. I also added an encouragemen & definition of "tip" in the first post. Anyway, I added up to 314 now (ALOT OF TIPS! Nice going, some fresh ones still coming and just a few duplicates, which is nice. I have pretty good track of the duplicates, I think, but I appreciate it when someone corrects a duplicate, number is easier then too). Next tip is 315. Also, I am considering making a top-50 (or so?) list with the most useful of these tips. If anyone feels like they wanna list or comment on the "Aha! NICE!" tips from here, feel free to do so, and it will also make my work easier. List the tips by numbers and I'll be able to find them easely. Shall we say, top-50 when we're at 500, or can you wait that long? :-)
Thanks. That was a good idea. I'll see if I can come up with some good tips to contribute in a bit :D

315. Don't get frustrated when you lose, watch your replay and find out why.. look at losing as a learning tool that you can benefit from!!

The tip above should be #324

Reworded: (P) When making a wall at your ramp, place your pylon slightly back behind your gate and core to keep it safe from melee units (Banelings, Zealots).
325: (X) If you get rushed early on in the game, don't be afraid to use your workers to defend. Two workers can kill a zergling or a marine without micro, and a few more for Zealots.

Are we gonna ALL 1,000, and eventually replace those tips that were canceled out due to being duplicates/false? Or is it just a race to fill out all of the spaces, no matter what.
|
I am going to take the first 100 tips and use it to make a program :D
|
326: when scouting an expo you can see how long it has been up by clicking on the mineral patches and checking how many minerals are left. you can also use this on gas geiser early game to see if there may be hidden tech.
|
315: When initially scouting someone who has taken a gas geyser, click it once to see how much gas has been mined. Useful to tell if Terran did gas-before-rax to tech extremely fast, or if Zerg is mining/has mined more than 100gas to differentiate between speedlings or speedlings+tech.
|
316: If you're utilizing marines and siege tanks to attack a zerg building zerglings/banelings/mutalisks, spread the tanks in a dashed line pointing in the direction of attack to minimize baneling splash damage and give your marines plenty of room to kite back under protection of siege tank fire, and letting your siege tanks have an easy time unsieging last one and hopping it forward.
|
329: If you have a mouse that permits it, you can change your scroll wheel forward and scroll wheel back to two keys that you would never use, then assign those two keys to two control groups, so you can quickly alternate between two control groups simply by rolling your mouse wheel one notch back and forth. Also, moving more than one notch in the same direction has the effect of the double tap.
330: The idle worker functionality cycles through idle workers, similar to the 'backspace' functionality. Also, if the next idle worker in the cycle is off screen, the camera centers on that worker automatically. If the idle worker is already visible at the current screen location, the camera location will not change.

you corrected my tip to say: zerglings spawn in as 6 pool at 2:25 instead of 2:15, but it really is 2:15 if you are perfect with your drones.

You can forcefield over the top of supply depots going down to stop them going down, useful when rushing into a terran base

Actually, I had a plan of making some kind of program for it to (probably with the top-50 tips), the only problem is that if I design it for what people plan to use it as (replacement for ingame tips) it breaks the EULA by modifying game experience, imo. So, I would like to know, in general, is there interest for a program displaying some of the most useful of these tips?

Do so

Adjusted the timing, but please back up your statement with evidence, especially with a specific claim like that.

I fill out spaces if I find abundant tips along the way, or come up with tips myself. It's easier for people to continue than to fill in blanks. The plan, if there was blanks when we're at 1000, would be to fill them in with high quality tips only, but maybe it would be better to fill them up now. I might be able to contribute with some tips myself. And the plan is to go all 1000.
For the record, blanks: 21, 22, 26, 47, 62, 78, 124, 167, 192, 198, 250, 251, 252, 254, 307, 308.

T7: Terran can kill larvae with Seeker missile or blue flame hellions

307. --- Duplicate (277) --- 308. --- Duplicate/generic ---
Why do you keep increasing the number even if the tips are dismissed? Doesn't make any sense.

If someone says for example 307. Bad tip, 308. Bad tip, 309. Good tip, then the next poster will say "310. Good tip". Imagine the headache if I wanted to scour through text and resort the numbering EVERY time I added one (1) tip. Also, if I moved around the numbering too much, people would not be able to later find the source of the tip, and everything would get confusing. If I just "skip" a number, it would be even more confusing. Read my last post where I explain this reasoning more. I plan to fill in the gaps later, anyway.
