About me I'm a 2200+ Terran player with a micro / harass oriented play style. I enjoy building up a series of small advantages through dual prong harass / mini push tactics and then moveout some time during the late mid game with a large force.
Will be answering questions regarding Terran gameplay and posting replays of various strategies against other top rated players.

What is the fastest Banshee cheese that you can go post 1.1.2? I can maybe get one out ~6:00 but there must be a way to do it faster using a 8 supply, 9 rax and having only 12 SCVs.
I guess I should have a more legit question: What is best way to train multitask?

Raven cheese? Lately i've been playing more aggresive with a gasless fe against zerg and very heavy bio pressure ala foxer. Been throwing most zergs off and I've been winning before they take their third. Needless to say ravens not required.

I mean banshee cheese lol. My bad.

Well... im not sure what the fastest timing on a banshee is now. Generally i transition into banshee play I dont really opt for rushing them.
As far as multitasking its really just a matter of having your fundamentals and mechanics down. If you watch my vs toss games you see many multi pronged attacks going on usually 2 forms of harassment 2 different control groups of banshees attacking natural / main along with my main army positioning somewhere in the middle of the map and a factory proxied creating hellions. These can all be broken down to their individual mechanics. Learn to execute these attacks while maintaining your macro first and then force yourself to try juggling multiple fronts at the same time.

If you could name three builds that EVERY bronze level, hoping to rise up Terran should learn, what would they be?

Learn to 1 - 1 - 1 against every race.
But more specifically learn to hold your 1 - 1 - 1 against every kind of cheese / all in / timing attack

I am so good at playing as Protoss 8-9 wins out of 10 but horrible at Terran.. like 1 or 2 wins out of 10. I'm Diamond 800 points. Haven't played in so long so my bonus pool is like 900 points lol..
What are some of the basic builds/stuff/timings I need to know as Terran?
|
And how do you micro the marines? You just move them back and press s and keep doing the same thing right? For some reasons my marines always stop firing for a second.. I know the pros do it in certain way that marines always keep shooting as they move back so I was wondering if you know how to do it

Stutter shooting is more of a mouse technique then a keyboard one.
a) select group of marines
b) right click a small distance away <--->
c) tap h here <-*-> to allow for your marines to stop moving and fire
d) right click again to continue kiting <--->
basically you want to mess around with the unit until your comfortable with the attack animation and can consistantly fire without missing a shot. then you want to learn to do this while macroing. and finally you want to learn to do this while using terrain - moving behind choke points or narrow passage ways to allow minimal surface area to be attacked - and of course stim / spread.

The easiest way to get the timings for various cheese while minimizing your potential losses due to build order is to 1 - 1 - 1. Just practice 1 - 1 - 1 while expanding when safe. Once you learn to hold this against most cheese / all in you can try more specific bo's

Oh so you don't press S key for stop command but H for hold? Ahh I see, cool, I'll try and see how this works out. Thanks

TvT is my favorite MU truthfully. I usually open 1/1/1 as well. Take your 2nd gas relatively early. In my opinion the early agressor, if able to hold a contain, can most often times win. What a contain depends on is having the superior number of vikings. So open 1/1/1, after 3 marines make a reactor. Tech lab asap on factory, make starport, make tank, make viking, make 2nd tank, then get siege mode. After 2 or maybe 3 vikings, put the starport in the reactor, and start producing x2 vikings. Bring some SCVs when you go to contain your opponent and build some bunkers and also turrets. Have your marines hold position so they dont go running into tank fire when your opponent gets some shots off. If you have more vikings and can control air space so your tanks can fire when the opponents tanks cannot, you will win many TvT battles. Also, the only real way you can lose this is a drop into your main that wipes you out. So you build turrets all around the map and outside your opponents base so he is really contained and can't fly out with dropships. Nothing worse than owning him with a contain, only to have him drop you with 3-4 dropships and wipe u out.

EDIT: lol on your name in my quote

When vs-ing Zerg, what generally do you not like to see?

On November 07 2010 10:05 achacttn wrote: When vs-ing Zerg, what generally do you not like to see?
Thats a pretty general question... there isnt really anything I cant counter its just particular situations.
I guess you can boil it down to tech switches that exploit proper timing windows and leading me to overprepare for an attack or unit composition your not actually using.

Mine is more fishing on info from the enemy, too see my counter to their counter, but how would you say most terran deal with an early roach push followed by an expo (5RR, 7RR, 3RR etc)?

In TvP do you use marine/banshee/raven? If so, how do toss players stop it or threaten it from your perspective?
