Who are you? 2200+ is still better than 80% of the forum browsers. I'm sure they could learn something. You're included as well seeing as how you're in Gold Division for 1's.

Who are you? Don't be a douche, 2200 is a pretty good achievement in it self, top 200/1% in the USA. He knows enough about the game to answer questions to the majority of the people here that are ranked lower.

Who are you? and who the hell are you? I am sure everybody can learn something from people who are better. Your post warrants a ban for insulting people who are trying to help others. Question to OP: I hate playing a 30 min TvT that features BC and such, it takes too much time and I just don't enjoy it in general. What do you do to end a TvT early?

Who are you? agree with everyone here, this guy's a douche for questioning a person trying to help out. @ OP: What do you consider "Standard" for TvT? Rax, Fact, Starport, Expo? What are problems associated with Rax -> 2nd Rax -> Fact -> Starport Build? Is getting a Raven out ASAP necessary?

There was a post somewhere else about proper Protoss building placement earlier today and I know in late games Terran players require a lot of unit producing buildings. I have issues with running out of space and knowing whether or not to clump up supply depot's (fear of the nuke). Also Thor's have a tendency to get stuck in between buildings, Any real tips or are we forced to start building into our natural. I asked somewhere else but there wasn't a good answer. When macroing up different units to the same hot-key, is there an easier way to add each unit the the hot-key or do you really just have to shift click each unit as they spawn. Other than scouting, do you ever see any actual Reaper play in the higher rankings anymore? I play a friend who is a pure Protoss player around Diamond 1700-1800 point area and in some of our 1v1's that reach 200/200 food, he likes to play War of the Worlds (7+ Collosus in his army mix of Stalker/Sentry/Zealot). How many Vikings is really the right amount per Collosus when there is that many? How often do you get Hellions in your TvZ and are they a viable unit in your army vs Protoss at all. Thanks

Honestly any solid bo should account for something like a 5rr 7rr etc. So the follow up would be whatever they originally had planned assuming you didnt do some massive damage. Generally most zergs who rely on early aggresion use it as a buffer to set up their expo. Assuming I took minimal losses I'd try to punish the expo or at least prevent as much droning as possible.

Quick starport after scouting mine is a valid response. It prevents me from abusing banshees and forces me to either transition out of air or build vikings.

You can't bunker up, because the enemy will just attack you from the other entrance, and tanks are too immobile. I tried massing marauders off 3 barracks, but that got crushed, same with a fast ghost build. It really just depends on what you feel comfortable with. Having a solid aggresive build is a good way to prevent a toss from pressuring your dual entrance. I prefer a 3 rax stim push falling back on bunkers if im unable to kill significant units. Teching up to banshees with cloak is also viable. Your still going to need bunkers.

As you can probably guess, i'm not a T player =P Any aggresive toss opening is difficult. Because my builds rely on harass and unit trading. Forcing me to play defensive is a good way to punish over eager terrans. Example includes - gateway / void ray push gateway / immo push gateway / dt push

My style is very drop centric. I dont play to macro. I dont play defensively unless I have to. I push and unit trade and dont allow a macro style of play. That said what's your unit composition looking like? Generally more tank centric play is going to prolong a game where as a heavier bio build will allow you to be more aggresive.

Rax, Fact, Starport, Expo? What are problems associated with Rax -> 2nd Rax -> Fact -> Starport Build? Is getting a Raven out ASAP necessary? There isnt really a standard for tvt anymore. So many different aggresive openers all before the midgame. That being said... Marines --> Hellion --> Viking / Tank / Banshee Those are pretty common waypoints into the midgame. Going more then 1 rax is pointless unless you plan on having some sort of early push. The longer you delay your tank / port production the more you risk being contained or forced to concede map control. On raven's if you have a fairly solid timing of a banshee harass you can get by without a fast raven. It really comes down to your game sense and what your opponent is doing. Sometimes I can get by without one - opponent is going for a scout banshee or minimal harass w/o cloak - other times youll get punished by someone who constantly tries to force cloaked banshees down your throat.

I dont know the exact timing unfortunately but you'll hit right around the same time as a banshee. On maps with a close air distance I'll float a factory over and proxy hellions which allow me to soften up the marines before my own drop.

The 1 - 1 - 1 build should be a "safe" opener for you to get a natural down. At that point the game will vary depending on what your opponent is doing and which direction you want to take. Do you like bio? Do you prefer mech based play? Can you handle bio mech?
