Sorry, supposed to be [D] not help, this is a discussion thread not help :p Hello there people, in this other TvP related thread i read here ShoJu linked a game of 2 asian players, one who calls himself Flash and the other SoO. (I doubt its the 'real' flash though) but anyway his build seemed quite interesting. So i was just wondering if there are any other Terrans curios about this build that wants to help by saying your opinion and/or writing down the build order (ima noob so if I do it it's propably gonna end up wrong ) anyway here is the link: http://www.sc2win.com/starcraft-2-replays/tvp-pvt/flash-vs-soo-2/
PS: If you dont know how to get it to work since it's a replay from previous patch just put it in recent folder and play from there, starcraft will ask you if you want to launch previous version of sc2.

Ehm, I am sure there is a thread on this build somewhere.

this is a different opening that i have been sporting, very different from ghost mech
it involves 0 ghosts and 0 marauders and i have went 9-1 since i have started using it on all 1500+ protoss players, ill release a replay pack soon but this build is certainly not ghost mech or anything of the like.

If you actually read the link instead of the first sentence, you'll realize that the ghost mech part of the thread is discussing mid-late game and he goes into details (with replays) about the marine/tank/raven/banshee opening.

The starting build order is the same but later, the part that really matters isnt so.. :p

Watched the replay, didn't think it was particularly amazing ... he kinda lucked out the toss going DTs, as he built the raven blindly. He got supply blocked a lot, and had to use call down more than once too.
Then again, he was complaining about lag a lot, so maybe he just couldn't really do anything fancy cuz of that.

that thread does not discuss this build at all, i said 0 ghosts and that thread utilizes on ghosts. i dunno what your trying to get at here, that thread isn't nearly relevant enough to continue this build discussion there. Its a different build bro.

well it's not the best execution in the world but it was the only one I could think of while trying to help in that particular thread.

he didn't "blindly" go raven, you either go fast banshee or raven depending on what you see...

I've watched the game and it seems like such a poor representation that I don't know how to guess this build would be any good. Protoss does 3 warpgate pressure while teching straight to DT, which seems like a lucky coincidence against the Raven timing that they don't do much damage, but Protoss still manages to pressure hard enough against marine-tank that they safely set up an expansion while keeping Terran contained and continually using bunkers just to stay alive. Terran never had the moment to expand. Terran is forced to make a push at his one opportunity due to differences of income finally after toss pitted himself against the defensive advantage one too many times and took an unequal unit trade, and terran just gets the best you could have gotten from the situation from there on out- Protoss just started robo tech vs. banshee and invested his resources in upgrades, attacks with poor positioning twice for a snowball effect and never gets to take advantage of the income advantage.
When I'm usually facing a 4 warpgate or 3 warpgate-immortal and especially the 3 warpgate-void ray semi-all in, stuff like this looks like it falls apart.

This build order seems to work on most protoss users except when they do zealot voidray push

Thanks for opening this thread. I also had trouble finding the original article!

The strenght of this build is that you can adapt to this. The reactor at your barracks can be be used for your starport so that you can quickly reach the needed Viking count to stop voidrays. Key thing is keeping an eye on your opponent to notice this. That means a lot of scanning/ poking with air units. And the zealots should not be a problem for your Helions. (Upgrading the Infernal Preignitor is extremly useful). But again key is noticing what your oponent is doing!
