What I tried so far : Open the map with the editor -> failed cause it doesnt appear on "recently played or popular or anything else" what is kinda strange in my eyes cause its kinda popular and also recently played. I dont have any experience with the editor or map stuff - but shouldn't be that hard to bring the map on another realm or ? Greetings | ||

Yeah, did it a week ago totally nice and friendly - he doesn't respond # there is also a version on NA online but its totally outdated... So I want to do it on my own... Would be very cool if anyone knows how to handle that situation  | ||

Would be very cool if anyone knows how to handle that situation Well, if the case is that the mod/game was abandoned, have you searched for the game/mod in specific via the editor? ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/gp8di1Z.png) If the Mod/Game arcade does not show when you search for it, it is because it has been locked, if that is the case there used to be some work around in HotS to get the map file anyways (delete map files stored in appdata iirc, then redownload the map you want, force open via editor and .txt editor), but with the changes done to the engine in LotV I don't know if these work arounds still function | ||

Legally speaking isn't the owner of the mod Blizzard? I doubt they'd do anything unless the creator of the mod complained. | ||

And not legally speaking, if the original creator is well credited, I don't see many ethical issues (and many reasons why the creator wouldn't want his map on NA/EU, unless he's some kind of Korean supremacist) | ||

Anyhow, OP, as I said previously I would recommend you to contact the creator any way you can, because asking him to upload the map to EU/AM is far easier than needing to head to mapster and browse over maybe hundreds of threads in search of a bypass of the lock mechanism the editor/maps have, and it goes without saying that the old HotS system of bypass may not even work anymore Also, if you find a way, don't be a dick and do what otherworld says, remember to credit the original creator (this should go without saying, but wherever). | ||

Uhm, how exactly is it so bad that he wants to redistribute someones map on another server? It's not like he's trying to steal it and claim it as his own (atleast i hope not). Also, remember that it's a free map, in a free game, that everyone can play, he's not stealing any revenue or anything like that. (As Kantuva and OtherWorld said) As long he's respectful towards the original creator and credits him, I really don't see a problem here. FYI: calling someone a 9 year old on the internet doesn't further your arguemnt. (quite contrary actually) | ||

thanks for your help, I will try it maybe tomorrow ( not in my hometown right now ). @Others For sure I will give credit ( similar description ) - and its not a "steal" I mean he(or his friend) also uploaded it on NA but its totally outdated. I think its also not lazyness its more like that its not translated, but on that part i could help. I will try to contact him, might be the easiest way to handle it - when it fails I will come back. I see a lot of potential in the game, its a cool arcade version and hardly played in korea. Have a nice day | ||
