TLMC 6 WINNER
Info/details: I make too many standard maps, so I decided to fix that problem.
Layout is inspired by Amazon by EastWindy and Apollo's Corridor by sTY_leZerG-eX. Tileset is plagiarized inspired by "Providence" by IeZaeL, though it's a badly butchered version of the original.
My only criticisms would be that the 12 / 6 oclock rocks should possibly be removed. @ Z holding the gold base and @ the map being a little less base tradey. Then again maybe it compromises the middle of the map too much / makes it bland. Not sure there.
Also all the corridors are roughly the same width which is not my favorite thing, but the map has plenty of chokes (not to mention mineral walls :-P) so I think it's fine.
My favorite part of the map is actually the linear 4th, even though it's not really a core part of the concept.
Like the way it looks quite a lot! Only thing that'd interest me at the moment is the width of the natural's entrance. Is it able to block it with 3 Bunkers? Great work regardless!
The only issue I can see is that the natural seems siegable from the 3rd high ground, apart from that this map looks like a great idea realezed even better, good job!
I love this, it's the most acceptable way I've seen to include mineral lines that are open on both sides. The destructible rocks are in such a great position too, similar to that ladder map, but less extreme. Personally, I love it when mapmakers find a way to use collapsible rocks out on the map and not just as part of the choke to the third or fourth. The layout allows many different attack paths as well.
ladies and gentlemen, may i present to you episode #9784 of "how to ruin map aesthetics", courtesy of the blizzard "art" team.
i'm guessing they think this "improves map readability" or some BS like that, when in fact it does exactly the opposite, reducing the clarity of the corridor boundaries and making the spiral design harder to see. not to mention the fact that they took the appearance from decent/mediocre to a haphazard mess.

Frustration is understandable cause the map was your baby, but in the end, blizzard's version is not worse, and it's even better in some aspects. Taste and opinions...
But I suppose shiting on blizzard is the way to sound cool in this subforum...
