Hello all, i have created a melee 1v1/2v2 map named Acid Bath. its in hots and if any of you want to try it out i would appreciate it. its a large map that uses a lot of the new textures. anyways here is a screenshot.

this is a fairly large map, with it i wanted to create a map that was different than most ladder maps. the third is a good distance away by ground but with the compact bridge and collapsible rock tower it should be easier to defend with less forces. taking a fourth base will be hard on this map with them being so far away from the others. in the center there is a gold expansion with 8 rich minerals and 2 rich geysers, holding the nearby watch towers will be a necessity for anyone that wants the rich expansion. air play is best on this map with all the dead space and with it being so large a slow force is not recommended.

Although it seems to look quite nice, you should put a little bit more effort into presenting the map, such as your ideas behind the decisions you made in its creation and general information.

I believe there is a decent template for this on this very forum which I used, but I can't seem to find it now. Regardless you can use other mapmaker's presentations as inspiration. If you put little effort into presenting the map, it's also hard to put constructive effort into the feedback.

Is those giant doodads in the middle of the map? that has to get in the way of the player camera

Doodads fade out and turn transparent when units are under them, I believe. I know for a fact that the least the arches do.

ok i fixed the cardinal ramps thanks for pointing this out this is my first map, and thefish the doodads are really high up so you can really only see the part where it enters the acid.
