There seems to be a weird bug on this specific version of Metropolis. The pylon power radius is not accurately displayed.

I've uploaded screen shots of it:

Note the pylon is not in the center of the power circle:

I could NOT repeat this bug on Metropolis LE
I CAN replicate this bug on MLG Metropolis and GSL Metropolis.
I am NOT able to test this on other servers.

Does this happen everywhere on the map or just in that/particular spots?

I've determined now it only occurs on the lowest cliff level. It doesn't happen on the main/natural level, but once you go down any ramp to the 3rd level the pylon power radius indicator is off as displayed in these screenshots. This includes both islands. If you can, could you check the NA version of the map? So we know if it's exclusive to the EU copy of the map.

Done. It should be noted that I cannot replicate this on TSL4 Cloud Kingdom, TSL4 Antiga Shipyard, or TSL4 Entombed Valley Cloaked. It appears like this is map specific, and not an overall TSL4 map problem.

Ah! It doesn't occur on Metropolis LE, but it DOES occur on MLG Metropolis AND GSL Metropolis!

It looks as if the power is floating above the ground at the height of the top of the pylon. What does it look like zoomed it?

That is exactly what it happening. The power indicator is floating above the entire pylon itself.

Compare to the standard:

It may just be higher graphics settings. I can see that ring for cannons, spines, spores, and turrets when I'm building them, but not once they're done. And of course siege tanks when they're in siege mode and friendly.

Your screenshots showing the cannon placements aren't mirrors of each other. The cannon in top pic is one hex left, while the bottom cannon is shifted 3 hex's left.

Pylon range always doesn't display range correctly, but is the same on every map. Show screenshots with identical placements on the map you claim is bugged and a regular map.

These are all pictures from the same pylon, on the same map, without ever leaving the game. It is pretty clear that the power radius is not centered around the pylon, and it's since been discovered that the problem is that the power radius indicator is floating above the pylon, and not below it, making it look off from our angled view of it.

The fact that I can power a cannon with 1/2 of 1 box of pylon power should be what you see is wrong. The fact that a cannon being 100% covered but not powered is what you should see is wrong. Please read the thread, inspect the images, and come to some very basic understanding of what is going on here before you try to claim it's not bugged/wrong.

Super weird, TSL uses the GSL metropolis version (hence why all the other versions have issues as well). Renaming the thread accordingly.

Thanks for rename. Had only compared it to LE before making the thread, which doesn't have the same issue. Will anything be done before the TSL4 main event?

iGrok busted it on first shot... i've tried experimenting with base map height of 32 a while back
It messes up everything of its natural range.
Like for instance a voidray would need to actually fly ontop of a colossus to start fireing DOWN on it..
The base map height changes the perspective in the X and Y but not the Z... or the oposite (changes Z but not X and Y) so the depth is much more then it appears.

With out sounding all to over confident... thats atleast my experience.

Just drop it, the map sucks anyway!

In all seriousness, this is a weird bug. Only thing I can think is that they manually lowered all of the map (I can't imagine they just lowered the middle lowground, I think I would have noticed). Blizzard would definitely level it/revert it to normal when they put it into ladder.

It has already been in the ladder, and the ladder edition didn't/doesn't have this problem. They are removing/fixing frame rate dropping textures, and then it will return someday.
