I think you need to fix the lighting on this. It's neat, but it's very... emphasized. I think it's a little too strong.

What do you suggest ? I've had similar feedback from my friends who played it (Playing in a dark room => gg eyes :D), so I tuned the exposure down. What do you think I should touch ?

I think it has a lot to do with chokiness too. The lowground b3 has an open ground before it, making it very defensible as zerg, while the highground one is rather choky. With that and the closer expo it makes the map play very differently in different matchups.

Don't touch my baby ! Those textures are my very flesh and bones now ^____^ A bit more doodads could help though, there are some rather empty spaces I feel. Oh and <3333 Atlantis.

And also thanks to everybody (Panda, Reptilia, Syphon) who says the aesthetics are good People like you keep me working, glad to see it pays off and you like it. As for the name, Reptilia... I feel Dark Shines is way too underrated. It's complex, powerful, and catchy. So I never miss an occasion to tell people it's my favorite song from Origin Of Symmetry

Actually it's a full island. I see it as some kind of hidden expo you never check and/or lategame bait for positional play. It has been taken surprisingly often by my terran testers.

This map looks amazing so much going for it wouldnt favor any race would be great for macro games and the map forces decisions as far as where to expand and everything i could see so much variety on this map i really hope it gets a lot of attention

This map looks really great.
The only thing that I don't like is the light/dark checkered tile in the bases. There was a map with a similar design and I remember that it was quite distracting and a bit hard to really see light structues (like Protoss buildings) well against the lighter parts of the 'floor'. I think it's too much contrast on the 'floor' which takes away contrast between buildings and 'floor'. I'm not sure wether or not I have really expressed myself clearly here.

The contrast between the black metal parts and the light stone parts is a bit too strong in my opinion.

People playing the map didn't complain about that. Everybody told me it was going to me a problem, but it didn't trun out that way.

I'm going to try and find a way to customize that mesh texture though, so no one worries.

Shouldn't be surprising at all, terrans have the easiest time taking islands. I think this is why there were removed on Metropolis? It takes a bit too much effort to attack it than it takes to set it up. But I'm no map maker/tester, so I could be full of hot air.

Either way, the map looks beautiful

It's lower-ground with space behind it, so it's actually easy to pick off once it's been set up.

Interesting concept for an island expand- every race can pressure that mineral line with fairly basic units if not defended. Unlike other island expos where the island is just immune to everything.

What's the range from the higher ground to the mineral line? As long as stalkers and roaches can hit it from high ground, it works for me. Colossus, Muta, and Sieges obviously have no problem.

Queens can disrupt mining I don't think Roaches can.

Games was long (over 30 minutes). I am Master. I played with 2 different friends (zerg and terran). Some times, I was confused about expands location and army location on the map (path to use to bring this army group here and there). First time it happens to me like this, but after few games, it's ok. I was embarrassed about how to attack top base (low ground) against Terran when it's a PF. I did drop Banelings + Infested Terran while harassment somewhere else and it worked well. I like the blue fence (with invisible LOS). The textures color are fine for minimap. GJ!
