I kind a love it. I hope it's balanced.

An inbase-expo like that is okay, but I think your third should be a little harder to take. Also I would add 1 more expo on each side.

The in base expo isnt supposed to be taken if you want to be economic, just for emergency, i guess. Do you think if I remove one mineral, so it's 5m1g people will take it less? And should the extra expo on the bottom of the map?

If you put an expansion in the main base, the player's almost certainly going to take it.

Looks really cool, But I feel it is kinda anti zerg that the natural can be ffe to, as a toss player I will break the inner rocks and mass gates with zealots. I dont know how fast zerg can take the rocks but I feel i can 4base at 12ish, zerg will have hard time taking a toss that is taking a fast 3rd. Overall the map looks awsome and I will be happy to see some art pictures too :D keep up the amazingly good work!

Zerg can also take quick 3 base then preceed to the inbase expansion, making zerg 3.5 Bases and Toss 2.5. Also Air harrass works great meaning mutas can slow toss down. I think anyways. I'll test further, so far seems pretty even.

Looks fun! I like seeing new stuff

This seems like an interesting map, far different from the regular maps that are perfectly symmetrical on a diagonal axis, has some potential. The space for a drop seems a little too op with a ramp, maybe if you just have it jut out a tiny bit without the ramp? Also, the natural has a REALLY wide choke, seems excessively hard to defend. I guess that's part of the purpose of the inbase 1/2 expo? Also, can you point out the Xel'naga towers and overlord parking spots more clearly? I'm not sure if I'm seeing them properly.
|
Is there an overlord spot that can easily spot the inbase natural (preferably without checking to much other shizzle)? That might be a good idea to check wether it is going to be 2 versus 3 or 2.5 versus 3.5 base.
|
Wow, this is pretty adventurous! So many rocks! So many weird expansions! Such awesome potential for base layout!
I'm sure there's some cool stuff a zerg can do vs pylon block with that inbase expo!
10/10 just for putting it out there. Keep it crazy!

What's the 12'o'clock expos about? 2xhighyield+1xgas on each?
The map looks really, really cool! Maybe a bit strong for mech though? ;O

Natural can be Forge Fast Expanded; It's the standard choke. To point out the parking lots, it's all the little patch of highground that you can see.

Thank you for posting so in depth with your first post
regarding the map: I think the top two expos are kind of useless unless u are terran and can float your cc to them, but as a zerg why would i build hatches there for only two min patches and one gas. the rest of the map looks interesting, tho i don't really like inbase expos, for me they take much flow out of the game.

Yeah the two top expos are really kinda for looks, and perhap super late game? or really weird builds just for this map maybe. It's 2 rich minerals, and 1 rich gas.
Also, I updated the map to be more open, and less terran favored in TvZ. Play a game and let me know!

Is the map available on EU?
|
I entered this thread wanting to post 'every map is unique' but this is really awesome. Could you find a way to upload the map on EU? I would really want to give it some tries.
Also: How much health do the inbase rocks have?

They have the standard 2000 health, 3 armor; Although I've been discussing with the players and wonder if i should make it higher.
I'd love to be able to publish it to EU, if anyone's willing to do so.

Wait, this is a good map, but what about it makes it so unique?
It doesn't look all that unique in terms of layout other than the multiple routes across the middle.
