Anyway I thought the reaver was supposed to shoot right when you drop it from the warp prism, instead it has to wait a little bit...is it how you made it or am i doing something wrong? Anyway the game seems pretty fun. I'd like to try it with another real player dough ![]() | ||

I'd like to try it with another real player dough ![]() intended reaver behaviour, it worked the same way in broodwar after they patched out instant firing because it was possible to drop, shoot and pick up so fast that it looked like "shuttles firing scarabs" I would love to play you tomorrow, but its 1:00 am in europe, so right now would not be the best. Well my basic opinions are: Protoss Gateway units: Aproved Robo units: Reavers scarab is more dumb than in SC:BW, please, make them at least as smart as in BW. Stargate units: Aproved Zerg Overall: Macro mechanics for some reason feel way too strong once you do not miss overlords Upgrades: 3 lvl upgrades of all units... well, it is really interesting idea, but I think, without having same for all races, it is unbalancable, because having 75/25/1 hydras with 125 HP... is insane, it even does not matter its achievable by T3. Units: Infestor - Nydus worm - I believe, that you shall either remove nydus ability, or attack of infestor. To be honest, I would prefer its attack to be removed, and making Nydus worm more key for it. Terran Rax: Reapers with 80 HP and flame thrower... for 1 supply and same cost... well, maybe make them better and costier. Factory: Aproved Starport: Well, I haven't seen BC yet... rest seems interesting, but why so fast medivacs? o_o Hope i was helpful, Gossen. | ||

now I'm not a very good mapmaker, but a map is better than no map right? in short: if the map is bad and I didn't notice, tell me with constructive criticism and I will then fix it. 1. as you can perhaps see from forbidden lagoon, I do not have all that much experience with making maps, I believe that much of the reason that forbidden lagoon is being used is simply because it was designed specificly with starbow in mind, this is not true for any other map on the internet, and the internet is a big place. 2. within the next 60 hours (2 and a half days) I should have made a new thread under custom maps discussing the new map or, if it seems better, simply put it in here. 3. do the community have a theme they want me to follow? forest, city, wasteland, hellish, spaceplatform, etc? 4. should the map be a 2v2 map or 1v1v1v1? aka: should there be 2 players spawning extremely close to each other? 5. if I happen to design the map to have different rushdistances depending on spawning locations, should there be: forced close spawn? forced cross spawn? no close spawn? no cross spawn? 6. compared to forbidden lagoon, should the map be: more open? more chokes? tighter corridors? more attackpaths? more rocks? reverse of any of the above? your opinions will be taken into account, but will not necessarily alter my decisions. p.s. expect crazy amounts of bases, forbidden lagoon has 7.5 bases per players, if I make the 4player map have 6.5 bases per player thats 26 bases. edit: On March 27 2012 12:27 Laertes wrote: Hey, I LOVE this. We did a PvT and a PvZ (actually two, but in one i lost after 2 minutes since i thought my opponent was terran again). I think it would be better if the range upgrade for the goons could let them outrange the bunker. If so though they would be pretty OP with blink so it could be better to remove it. I think terran needs a better solution against carriers though. These new vikings didn't seem to really be able to do anything against them. Anyway I'm having a lot of fun with this mod and I hope you will keep improving it ![]() | ||

Unit pathways are not always correct. It happened to me often with dragoons and a couple of times with warp prism. Also I think the volture's mine don't do the damage they say they do. I saw a lot of them exploding on hydras and dealing only 15 dmg. I think the medivacs are too fast and i kinda like the normal model better (this one is too big). EDIT: I just remembered that I have a question: Is it normal that the reaver doesn't oneshot drones? Anyway I would make it able to shoot right when it gets out of the warpprism...as it is now i think it's pretty bad. | ||
