And I'm not even joking (but I realize not everyone wants to do mapmaking for a living for various reasons). To provide some feedback: IMHO you could cut most of the quotes and keep a few more relevant or longer ones, that justificially describes your crafting skills or the great features about the map in question. As a side note, privately I'm happy to hear that you're interrested in UMS map making as well, since I've been leaning towards that too.

However, I do not like death cap, as FFA maps must be on a higher level of insanity than that. In order to delve deeper, we must have ASYMMETRY!!!

When I do a Portfolio I only add maps that I think are valid and fit the way it is played. Some maps you show look really old, making praising comments look a bit random and as if you were not able to define what is good and what is not, solely referring to what some tl user said. It seems pretty strange when you quote someone who says it looks interesting-pretty much anybody could say this to any given map, being polite before pointing out obvious flaws. So ihave mixed feelings, voted "way too much" and suggest to polish your portfolio in the sense of being more selective.

I think you need to make more. If I had a complaint it would be too many details and doodads. I feel those might have effect on playing and maybe make it harder for the spectator too. That's why I'd say Clacial Spike looks the best of all those.

![]() Seriously though, there are times when I have to look up at the breadcrumbs to make sure it says "StarCraft 2 Maps & Custom Games" and not "Barrin's Personal Blog". ![]() *Really* seriously though, I can see both side of the argument about marketing yourself vs. perceived arrogant self promotion. While I do not think most people who frequent the SC2M&CG forum would see you as arrogant given your general tone in replies, your helpfulness and dedication to improving the mapping community, and ... the fact that you are a banling (XD), when I first saw this I did think it was a little much. But... I'm not sure it is such a bad thing to present a new take on the [P] tag. It certainly seems to open up more options and ideas for other map makers for their portfolio threads. Me? I'll probably keep mine simple as it is simply a way for me to easily keep track of my map threads. Speaking of which... I was a little disappointed that you didn't seem to have any links to your individual map threads... all that work but forgot links? Edit: Speeling.

I'll put it back in there somewhere Ah-ha! So you can... Tricksy! I'm used to imgur or other popping up so I didn't even check.
