I'm a Diamond Terran looking at training my Micro at the moment and found the custom map Darglein's Micro Trainer, can be found by pasting "Darglein" in the map search bar.
Thought I'd create this thread as a way for myself and others to gauge skill level, and to help make benchmark for micro skill, by keeping some kind of scoreboard based on your replies.
Basically the map has 10 custom scenarios for each race, ranging from burrowing roaches and blinking stalkers, to controlling a set of mixed units in a TvZ timing push, or fighting the Protoss deathball.

If each of you could post your personal bests in spoiler tags, and whether stim, speed, creep was enabled/disabled I will post them regularly. If it is a new high score please attach the replay for verification, or I won't be adding it to the scoreboard.

My record on Hold the Ramp is beating level 14, I believe that's the highest possible level. I made a video about it before the map got really popular. I shoulda posted it for that juicy Reddit karma, haha.

I have to say, Darglein's Micro Trainer is an AMAZING map.
Whereas other maps focus on one or two micro tricks, this map does a fantastic job of presenting tons of different micro trainers for all the races conveniently together in one map. I had tons of fun spending hours going through the Terran micro scenarios.
I got level 26 on marine split with stim/creep enabled. Here is a screen shot:
edit: just realised you can change the level on the side bar so i guess this screenshot doesn't mean anything T.T. I don't have the replay it was from awhile ago i guess it doesn't matter since some one will come along and beat it anyway .
I got level 10 on the TvP death ball one but don't have screenshot or replay so doesn't count . But i'll try it again and see how far I get (usually i was getting stuck at lvl 8 but we will see).
Beat level 7 on the deathball! I'm honestly thinking about switching back to T after this because my main issue with T was not being able to handle the deathball in tvp since I couldn't get the micro down, but being able to practice hotkeying my units really fast and doing the necesscary micro without having to go through a 20 minute early/mid game really made me comfortable with it. Excellent job with the map!
EDIT: Level 12 on the timing push w/ stim enabled and speed enabled. Fun stuff.
My personal best in stutter step is 15, and 14 in focus fire stutter step. I'm interested in seeing how far it's actually possible to go in these, my guess is not that much higher than where I got but maybe I'm wrong.
Remember to post your replay along with your highscore so that I can add your name to the list and you can reap ever lasting fame, fortune and females!
At school right now, but thank you so much for posting this! I was getting tired of the micro map that I'm sure everyone here has used (micro probe, kill terran, save executor). Will be playing as soon as I get home.

The level 11 on those things is just impossible.
EDIT: 14?? you guys are nuts im gonna go play bf3
got to 13 with the focus fire stutter step and to 14 with the timing push w/o creep (stim and speed enabled ofc) one thing that helped a bit on the focus fire was killing most if not all the banelings and then using that little doodad near the bottom to filter the lings one at a time, was down to 4 lings left in level 13 D:
My insane platinum micro allows me to beat level 5 in the stutter-step challenge (with stim/speed). Which I did by sitting in a corner and hitting the T key, that's how good my stutter-step is.
made it to level 30 on the marine split challenge. the funny thing is now i can only split my marine up and to the right because the blings always come from the same direction. So in an actual game if they come from the left and the north east is clear ima BAWS but if they come from anywhere else im completely f*cked T_T

haha same as me, felt good when I got to lvl22, then played a tvz and got raped by banelings coming from all angels But anyways, its a fun map, really like the timing push and stutter step focus.
Here's level 95 on Juicy Zerglings, set to music to reflect the seriousness :-P. Perhaps this one should be removed from the leaderboard without the zerglings having speed?
Box a seige tank with some marines. Control Select tanks, seige. Stim foward marines. Select tanks. focus down banes. Once forward marine line is breached, stim remaining marines, move retreat to water. Select tanks, focus banes. Select marines, focus remaining banes and clean up remaining army. TERRAN FIGHTING! ... 10 marines vs 12 speedlings and 6 banelings. Normal clustered scoot and shoot isn't going to work. Thinking outside the box, I put my marines in American Football defensive position, treating the banes like the QB. The goal is to get past the blockers (lings) with single marine blitzers. 1 marine hitting bane cluster turns AOE into terrans favor. Once banes are cleaned up, have the lings chase a "bait" marine as rest of the marines stand ground
I use this map every time I want to warm up before ladder. Best custom map I've played for sc2, keep up the good work! Maybe you could add a few more like dealing with speedling runbys as a fast expoing toss or something.

I'm sure much higher than level 11 is possible, I got there but couldn't beat it in the two tries i gave it and I play only zerg. My tank->bane target firing was atrocious.

If Qibla's still alive i'll post some videos of these.

I seriously wonder if level 6 is beatable. I've come pretty close but it's always when I manage to save a few stalkers on extremely low HP.
It might be possible if you use kiting along with blinking. If you just stand there and blink away stalkers when the shields are gone and right before they die, it will be impossible at a certain level. But if you kite the roaches around because you've got higher range and speed, then it should be fine with proper control.

I just beat it... I rushed forward, kited/focused 3 of them down and then used blink and move-back micro... wasn't actually that hard. level 7 is a bitch though :D

Actually just beat tank timing push on level 12 on my moms cpu (20fps...terrible lag) Trying to fraps it would be even worse lag So I won't try to take credit til I post a vod from my cpu.
This was really cool. I got to level 13 on protoss speed roaches, I was actually surprised by blink micro considering I don't employ it that much in game lol
What's the farthest anybody got on burrowed roaches? I completed level 15 once, and I don't know how 'cause I tried it again today and can only finish level 14.
Also, I would love to have anybody's replays of playing this map...
I completed level 12 of Scoot and Shoot, and I still have no idea how Banshees work. Sometimes I can kite and take literally zero damage, but it's soooo hard to do, and I'm not sure what makes it work... it's like, you have to A-move in the opposite direction of your opponents (focus firing and A-moving towards opponent always took damage for me), and time your movement right click perfectly, and everybody has to already be in motion already and in a line, and you have to be just the right distance away. Or am I missing something? It's soooo weird...
How do you beat Level 4 of Infestors? It seems impossible and I've tried for over an hour! Any tips would be appreciated as I really suck with infestors.
Got to level 44 on the splitting thing with speed and stim. With additional creep something over 30. Missing the "you are marineking" thing on the creepless one :<
A move protoss stalker/zelot/imortal/archon/colossus ball vs MMMVG and toss wins easily losing almost no units. This right here is imbalanced.
If Terran micros, terran can still lose to that army. Let me clarify that, if terran works harder than an A moving protoss, terrans can still lose. This defies any rational persons idea of fairness. The game is not balanced. ALL races should be required to micro heavily to sway the outcome. David Kim is is either a liar or is completely ignorant of reality.

Dont know how were you able to get to lvl 62, i was playing "Multi ability control" today and made a video of lvl 55 (2275 vs 15450 army value) where i barely had enough units to make it.
27 lvl split with no creep 8 lvl timing push no creep focus fire 8 lvl no creep no stim
i love dargleins trainers. hope he will fix that problem with the need to change speed to "very fast". map loads so long and then i understand that it is wrong speed.
