My protoss friend and I have deduced that Warhound + Battle Helion is extremely broken vs protoss. And Shredder drops are way to effective.

Colossi are mech, so I'd imagine warhounds eat them up.

Will you add other maps? Look at customs maps section in this forum. Some maps reminds a lot HotS tilesets, like nature+lawa, winter, etc

I played a game against a friend of mine (I think map version 1.1) and we got in a pertty funny situation. I build the big hero Thor on Shakura's Plateau and my friend used the Viper's Abduct to pull my hero Thor on one of the platforms in the middle of the map. The big Thor cannot be transported with a Medivac so it got stuck up there. Pretty clever of him actually

Don't know if that is supposed to happen. Just wanted to let you know.

Number of big updates. Firstly I've just finished my exams so I have a fair bit more free time now to work on maps and what not.

To start the new patch that's just been uploaded has a series of new, well polished loading screens. I've been meaning to re-do these for a while and am happy I finally had the time, they are much nicer than the old ones so I hope you enjoy them .

Patch Notes 1.25b
- Removed displayed "Spines" from swarm host
- Phase Shift now 50 energy
- Oracle now 4 supply
- Warhound now +4 to light from +3
- Warhound build time increased to 45 from 40
- Shredder Deploy time increased to 6 from 5.5

Next up I have updated the unit stats spreadsheet to show just how insanely close we are to the real balance of the game, now admittedly there are still discrepencies and some units behave such as the battle hellion behave slightly differently than the real thing, but it is very, very close; see below for the unit stat spreadsheet.

Now to give some weight to these stats, here is a balance video that shows just how close I have gotten with unit balance compared to what we saw at BlizzCon, quite literally by comparing the teaser/gameplay videos with tests I ran on a test map with the mod (and one or two of the teasers had to be sped up as they were running on normal/fast not faster :/). Again it isn't absolutely 100% perfect, but I think it is very very close and this might give you an insight into the effort thats been put in to balance the map.



But where do we go from here? Well we set up small community based tournaments of course! This is what I will be now spending my efforts organizing, and I am hoping this will be a bi-weekly event if enough people are interested in participating, it will be of course streamed however its yet to be decided who will be casting, if you're interested feel free to PM me with a sample of your casting (if you're not known that is) and your info. The prize pool will most likely start at $70 with $40 for the winner, $20 for 2nd and $10 for third and depending on how it goes this may be increased, but I think $40 is a reasonable enough prize to hopefully warrant some preparation and competition . The tournament should start in three weeks or a bit earlier but this may be subject to change depending on scheduling, participants, when people are free and how long things will take to set up.

Now, there is still one issue that I've been meaning to address and that is the map pool. At the moment there are only 4 maps in the pool as it was a nice number to start with and kept the map relatively easy to update. But now that things have cooled down and almost all bug and balance issues have been fixed and a tournament will be coming up, I think its time to introduce some more maps. There will be 4 new maps that I will be updating with the HOTS Custom mod which you can see below. Daybreak by WinparkPrime should make for nice long macro games and seems to shine particularly in TvT; Bel'Shir Beach (Winter) by LSPrime is a great reworking of the beautiful Bel'Shir Beach original, and will tie in well with the HOTS snow/ice theme we saw. Sanshorn Mist by Superouman is one of the older community maps but it recently was one of the winners of the IPL map contest and features a nice simple 1v1 layout similar to the old Jungle Basin but with a much much easier to take third. And Twilight Peaks by Ragoo is a recent finalist for the TL Map Contest featuring a simple but effective 4 player layout somewhat similar to Tal'Darim but a bit smaller. Twilight Peaks and Antiga Shipyard have been altered to have only cross spawn locations because of the short rush distances.
