The only thing that I'm not sure of are the island bases though. I can't help but think that they would be terran favoured, especially in TvZ. Zerg really cannot take an island base effeciently, since their bases also act as production facilities and defending them from drops is nigh impossible. Terran on the other hand can just fly over a CC full of SCV's, planetary up and throw down a bunch of turrets. This would be especially effective in the lategame when there are no mutas out and the terran can just fly over his main orbital and MULE the island to death. That being said, I think that the gameplay an island base would bring to the game should definitely be explored more. Consider making it into a pseudo-island. Leave it in the same place but have a narrow bridge with high hp destructible rocks. This way it would still function as an island as oftentimes the rocks would not even be broken down but it would be slightly more balanced I think. Just my two cents. | ||

Your own fault if you don't have mutas (or even drop or nydus) on a map with islands. Mutas actually have the sickest air dominance in the game and make islands a problem ZvT and ZvP singlehandedly. To fix the imba of this island it would probably just have to be in blink range, otherwise mutas+basetrade rapes in ZvP. | ||
