You should try to include some kind of system that keeps track of the win percentage. This way, knowing a battle is imbalanced would be easy, and fixing it would only be a matter of adding or removing units. I'm not sure how technically feasable that is though. Mafia seems to be doing something similar with setups, each team in a setup having a "setup strength". Maybe ask the creator of that map. Also, a question: Why 8 players + 6 observers that can join if the players leave? Is it because of your round robin format? Micro Tournament had a single elimination brackets format that would change itself if player left, so that no player would get more than 1 Bye. Though I like the round robin format for having more matches against more opponents, that other format allows more players. Each having advantages, maybe you should make both available? Or how about round robin with 8 players or less and brackets with more than 8?

To even create 200 battles it would either be the same battles, just larger scale, or just beginning to add in silly unit compositions. I personally would be pleased with battles that are relevant to competitive play. Quality over quantity.

This, I'd be much happier playing the same matchups rather than say try to micro 5 queens against 3 tanks. Maps look nice, look forward to seeing it.

I just feel that with starcraft's mechanics and how fast units die that micro arena wouldn't be too great. That's just opinion of course. Perhaps an idea for a later project wink wink

TvT creates a lot of interesting micro- one idea I can think of right now are vikings V mass other other units. Also, phoenix V mutas- something like 9 phoenix against a HUGE flock.

Also, phoenix V mutas- something like 9 phoenix against a HUGE flock. The Phoenix v Muta one: That would not be balanced BECAUSE properly micro'd phoenix's will always beat mutas. It doesn't really matter if one side will easily win vs improperly micro'd units, its more that you want to be microing properly so you win.
