Name: Temple Basin (on EU)

Typ: Melee 1vs1
Size: 156x160
Xel'Naga Watchtower: 3
2 Startpositions
10 more bases (2 rich minerals)

The temple in the middle of the map includes 3 Xel'Naga-Watchtower.
One in the center and two next to the center.
The tower covers the hole basin included thee rich mineral fields.
It should be hard to cover more than 2 bases, because of the much ways, you can avoid a turtle on many ways.

v 1.1 Fixed some texturebugs
v 1.2 Added textures and walls around the Archontemples, fixed cliffbugs, fixed texturebugs, changed the ground next to the fog
v 1.3 Changed Waterstyle, added 2 spots for Overlords to hide.
v 1.4 Changed cliff next to the natural, fixed some other issues

I don't understand the name, for a start. Dry Basin? There's tons of water everywhere!

I do like that it seems asymmetric but is really very symmetrical (so far as gameplay is concerned).

It does seem a bit susceptible to 1base all-ins, though. If it goes beyond 2base, it looks very easy to grab a 3rd and 4th. The Protoss inside me has always detested island bases, though, especially in PvT, as flying CCs with Missile turrets round the edges promotes turtle play. It certainly seems Blizzard agrees, as they now no longer have any island bases in their 1v1 map pool (AFAIK).

i called it dry basin, cause in an older version, there where no temple in the center. i just had a sand basin and because of the waterlevel OutSide the wall (south), i wanted to show a dry basin .

about the island thing: Well, i know but i like islands. Of course it is really annoying for a non-terra to play against a terra on a map with an island, but i had that space, so i thought an island would be fun .
Maybe i will change it and build that part different.

I don't like island either..
And the statue on the right is not on the same place like that one on the left.
Put 2 golds in the middle and its fine (obviously not next to each other).

Like the terrain btw

After a few hours of trying and thinking, i decided to make an exp without being on an island.

I also tried to set some gold in the middle, hope it looks good and is kinda balanced.

Btw. after I changed so much I also decided to rename the map, i think temple basin would fit much better now.

I advice you to use the TL uploader for the images of the map and analyzer images.

Formats it the right way and the load is way less

Very well done map overall, like the fact that there are 12 bases, easy to hide a base.
I would like to see it on iCCup Map Series!!

With an average game length of 7m36s over his 6 games in GSL3, this is a no-brainer. BitByBit pulls more SCVs than yo momma at a club on Mar Sara. ♞

i like the layout of the map alot.
but what i was missing the most when i played it were good overlord spots.
really didn't know where to send my overlords early game :D
