You are in your map, no prior action required
you open file tab/menu and click on "dependencies"
log in on galaxy bnet
to access the online mods, select "mod/map by name"
type starbow in the search window
and add all the current required starbow mods to your map's dependencies
(for it to function online you need to set it to those online, you can download them locally to test/use them locally but you will always have to revert to those online for it to work properly online).

extension mods are haunting me again, how do I get them off my maps? I've already tried re-uploading and taking them off b-net entirely.

To play your map from your default lobby window (more like the "unwanted mod adding prone" window) there is no way.

these pesky unwanted mods appear without ever having been played nor attached by anyone and (unknowingly at first) force player to create the map with the mod automatically.

This happens to all of my maps! And this since more or less HotS retail.

To play one's map without these unwanted mods:
Simply type the name of your map in the search bar.. select it and it will not add the mod automatically unto your map like it does (for no valuable reason) in the published map window.


WTF?

No! the people doing these mods are not innocent, no one would be adding/playing these without this "bug/hack".
Yes blizzard pushed/shoved this "mapmaking" practice (doing mods for maps) through coding (probably with a good intent at the start (maybe)), but no one cares so the situation remains.

I was the only one to mention it.. lets see what happens when a real tler complains !?
Why post maps in this unique sub forum if every poster on it says posting/doing such maps is just meant for self funsies and never to achieve any headway into having a proper community varied and balanced map pool...?

Hi, I'm having an issue with all the Collapsible Rock Towers sharing the same HP across my map. I looked through the Object Properties, but I don't see anything that would cause this. Thanks.

Edit: Mostly fixed by changing some values. It still makes no sense that 2 of them were tied together all the way across the map.

Hey, guys!

I managed to create my own texture pack, but I would like to use it with other maps without having to create the whole pack again on each map I would like to use it with. Does anyone know of a simple way to access the texture pack from other maps?

Trying as hard as I can to not emulate the "ded gaem" crowd, but could this scandal be the nail in the coffin for StarCraft II as an esport? Not as a game, but as a digital sport.

KR server had a sudden drop of online users at all given times, pro players are all unhappy, average players are either in disbelief or disappointment, and Korean bloggers/social gamers are already saying it's time to move on.

From what I am seeing, people aren't saying we need to leave StarCraft, but that the game has far outlived its glory days and things will only get worse from here.

Does anyone know how to delete a "HotS - Space Elevator (terrain object doodad)"? I placed it on my map once, and it won't let me select it, box it, or delete it. Thanks.

Question: Does anyone know if in LotV it will be possible to have more than two players controlling one player slot? In other words, could one make a custom game where there are 3, 4, or 5 people in an Archon?

You should be able to see it in the Doodads palette if you press D then look at the box in the bottom left of the screen:

How do you create pictures that show up when your map is selected on battle.net? like preview images of your map. I know about the Camera tool, but I've tried and failed to figure out how to properly assign camera shots of your map as preview images.

I uploaded several maps to HOTS before LOTV assets were available. Are they available now in LOTV, do I have to do a minor update for them to show up, or do I need to completely remake them using the LOTV assets in a new melee map? I would do some testing myself, but my LOTV is still in the mail.

I don't have editor access at the moment, but this is how I remenber it.

First off, take screenshots as you'd normally do in the editor, with normal game view on (so you don't see editor related help stuff..)

Then you have to crop down the size of the images to 800x600 - The max the preview images can be - and save them as .jpg image files.

Then, within the editor, goto the map settings and click the "battle.net ... something" button. Within those settings you can import your preview images, alonside with image text and whatnot.
