How can I make it so you dont need the engineering bay and the command center for the scvs to build missile turrets?

^ In the Data Editor, open the Abilities tab. Search for the Ability SCV - Build (SCV). Open up the Field (Basic) Ability: Info +. Open up Build 06 Build Missile Turret. Under Info - Button - Requirements you will see Requirement (Have Engineering Bay). Press the little red minus button to remove.

may be a bit hard to spot, but the terrain object doesn't quite fit with the terrain, how do I fix this little chasm in the map?

HotS - Broken Plating, stretch them until like 300% or so in the Y or X axis and reduce the Z axis to 10%, lower them to -0.1 height add one to each side, rotate each one to block the visibility of the background.

I'm sure everyone's encountered this before. I was wondering how to fix it. It disappears under game view and in game, but it makes working on the document annoying. I've fixed problems like this before by replacing all the cliff textures or repainting the cliffs themselves but it's not working in this circumstance. Am I going to have to recreate the entire map?
It should be noted that I've upvoted every single person who's disagreed with me here, as far as I know.

it looks like you enabled show hidden tiles, these tiles are normaly hidden under the cliffs.

Oh dear, thanks a bunch. I did a fresh reinstall of windows and after installing SC2 I was poking around in places I normally wouldn't, trying to get my editor settings back to normal. Must've done it while trying to show range.

I encountered this after changing the titleset.

It's a problem the editor has when changing tile sets. Go into the data editor, under terrain types, and you can find the tile set there. You can edit the fog fully, as well as completely removing it, something I would do using space tile sets.

Hi,

I have edited some Blizzard Maps and uploaded them for playing online with my friends. In total 6 maps I have uploaded, but only 3 of them are showing up in "My maps" section. When I search for them, there are at least 4 maps showing up, but 2 are still missing, and I don't know why. The managing console is showing all 6 of them uploaded correctly. So I have no clue, why the maps are missing.

(Sorry for my english, it's been long time ago I learned it at school. :

have you checked if you have published these maps in "private" mode ..?
have you checked the platform (uploaded as custom or arcade, Wol or Hots) ..?

What are the properties that give the Decal Protoss doodads visibility on Low settings while HotS - Decal Space are hidden on those settings? I compared their various values in the data editor and they seem to be all identical (except for the name ofc)...

How can make texture tool snap to grid? I want to make ground like Overgrowth. I mean like on same ground level, it has a boundary for blue texture and it's yellow inside.

Afaik you can't snap textures to the grid. With doodads just press CTRL while placing the doodads, but for texture you have to use doodads to separate your different textures. If you open Overgrowth's map file and look at how it's done, you can see that there are doodads (SpaceShipHallTrim, something like that) separating the textures, but underneath the doodads the textures transition are not snapped to the grid. You can see the same thing on Deadwing, for example, where when playing on Low settings you clearly see that the transition isn't very precise.

Hey, when I place Rock Towers near each-other they automatically share health. Any way to stop this? Super confusing and unexpected.
