maybe I'm wrong with saying he played arrogant, but I dont think so. the off cans at the third f.e., i dont know if he would try that in a game against mondragon/ret.. and, although i might be mistaken here: I didn't see a shuttle. So his plan was not to drop the dt's to kill some tech/harass drones, it looked like he wanted to kill the ultra/hyd/defiler army with dt/sair alone. but yeah, maybe I'm wrong. Would like to know what G5 has to say to this €: the plague on the dts was such a nice counter. i assume that's why flaf went for ensnare in the first place, make the dt visible. | ||

 Perhaps DT/Sair is easier to manage mixing reaver in the army, and it is pretty good if you stay defensive -specially to intercept drops- I am not sure if it was the best move for G5, but definitely one possible counter to mass ultra/ling is sair/dt. | ||

There's basically no way a zerg can attack into your bases or engage in a fight in the middle of a map when you got as many sairs as G5 had (overlords just die instantly and it takes too long to send new ones). G5 however prolly got nervous when his DTs made no offensive damage, and started hunting OLs in Flaf's bases/expansions instead, losing many of his sairs in the process which pretty much left his DTs of no use in a defensive context... Probably even made his army composition weaker than had he not built DTs as Flaf could safely bring overlords to battles. | ||

well if i'm not totally mistaken plague or ensnare on cloaked units gives u vision of them. so why do u even needs lords, u can just plague the dts and kill them | ||

G5 wasn't siting at home laughing during these games he was like all these players, one stressed out nerd trying his best to win an important game. He wouldn't go out of his way to lose in the tsl sorry .... | ||

I wondered why did he made so many DTs. If he switched to reavers earlier (+ possibly expanded earlier) he would win. | ||

Just look at ~28. minute - lots of gates with 5 unit queues. That's true that mostly zealots but you can also see queues with like 3 zealots + 2 hts, 2 hts, etc. You really could tell the difference between both players' reinforcement speeds... Plus yeah, such late reavers really hurt one's eyes QQ | ||
