In PvZ he stopped Jaedongs 13 game winning streak in Bacchus OSL, but out of all three matchups; this is his most untested.
Critics of Best have pin pointed PvZ as his "weak matchup" as he barely has a winrate over 50%. However, he has played only 13 PvZ's in his career; and recently some of those wins have been promising. After all he was one of the only protoss who could touch Jaedong in his prime. Best is out to silence the critics of his "weak matchup" by dominating Luxury;
Wasn't that the game on the terrible map Demon's Forest where Jaedong did a weird all-in one Hatchery Lurker build?
I'm not trying to take anything away from Best's skill, but I don't really think that winning on that map against that strategy shows promise in his rather weak PvZ, nor does it show he could touch Jaedong in his prime (Best was defeated straight up by Jaedong on Katrina, a heavily favored Protoss map). Nonetheless, we saw how Jaedong stepped up his ZvP against Stork when it mattered, so hopefully we'll see Best do the same.

It looks really hard but if Best wins, he could be the newest P OSL champ since Anytime...
And obviously, that is a pathway to my heart foreverrrrrrrr.

"After all he was one of the only protoss who could touch Jaedong in his prime." Actually Jaedong threw that game with a ridiculous lurkerling allin. If I remember correctly they faced off again in Bacchus on Katrina where Jaedong raped the life out of Best.
And by the way Hwarangdo is a great map. No one seemed concerned about Nostalgia or 815 and with Katrina in the map pool for so long (still in PL) Protoss just cant complain.

These guys have been playing absolutely FANTASTIC bw lately. They are both creative, have sick mechanics and know how to use the maps' potential. I expect this series to be the best of the whole OSL.
I remember a very entertaining PvZ by Best (vs Oversky) in PL, so I feel he will deliver a great show here, and eventually make it to the final.
Edit : I watched the VOD again and it is really not as good as I remembered. Anyway, Oversky may not be Luxury, but i like the way Best handled it.

"touch" doesn't mean "the same level as" - Jaedong was so much better ZvP than Best was, no protoss was better than Jaedong. And yes, i remember that game quite clearly (i think i wrote a BR on it) but it did show that best was no scrub imo

Looks like theyre facing each other in their worst match ups (statistically) XD.
Stats-wise, I'd say Lux will take it, but im gonna be rooting for Best. I just hope Lux doesnt play as bad as he did vs Stork in Bacchus T_T

Really, really hoping for a 5-game series with Lux coming out on top here :> These games will be so fucking good, probably more exciting than the finals, although Best vs July would be pretty cool too!
