Not really. There's a lot of things going on that don't really help much. Almost everyone is playing close to their own meta so I need to figure out a way to make this game about this particular game and not about personalities.
Which is going to be a problem as this game has a lot of them.

NU can move down a notch. this is a reach

as a sidenote, I would modkill NU for trying to abuse the game.

What's the point of saying you would have mod-killed NU? none, hence why I called it a sidenote.

I kinda want to bully someone, but I'm also lazy and I need to go soon, so I'm not gonna.
excellent bully targets are jat and superbia. They're both kinda.... here, but not doing much. Which isn't really scummy for either of them, as that's what they do all the time, but we need to make them commit to shit to figure out what they actually think.

I am pretty sure that I have been quire clear on what I think so far. Feel free to bully superbia though. He is a decent target. Questionable post tbh. you know that to "make me commit to shit" is not the way to get a read on me. sure is
if you commit wrong, you scum.

Because I think that the cocky useless attitude and annoyance is harder to fake than it seems. Also the times that he has contributed I think he's made good points, i.e. Damdred's confidence on Marv and HF dropping his Calix push. Lol wait wait you really need to expand on this. Cause it's really important I don't think that scum becomes genuinely annoyed at somebody for not answering a question because they don't actually care about the answer. This is something that Superbia has to actively think of to fake. If you're going for the cocky useless scum play, then you are drawing a lot more attention to yourself. It can be harder to pull off than you would think, and it's always a riskier gambit than just contributing more than the shittiest players. Marv isn't going to roll over this game as scum because he hasn't played in months.HF point was something that I noticed as well. sounds logical, but it would be untrue. I would have been crushingly depressed not to have rolled town in my first game in 4 months and been even lazier than usual I don't think this is true, but I also think that's irrelevant, and I think you think it's true.

Superbia is also too sure I'm town. Not even marv knows I'm town yet, so there's that.

Regarding JAT, I don't know what to think about his response to me.
a) he might be (or he might believe that he is) correct that pressuring him to take a stance isn't going to work.
b) he also knows that I believe I can pressure him into submission as town, whether or not that is true seems irrelevant.
c) despite b), it's not certain that he thought about what I believe
So in general, I'm still sort of meh on JAT, he is doing the jat thing where he sort of casually comments along in the thread, and I always think he's mafia for it and sometimes I tunnel it and sometimes I leave it. I have no real idea what he actually is.
|
I don't like Calix all that much. I was super impressed with her when I was mafia, but I don't think her approach this game is nearly as good. Maybe it's because I'm not aware of whether or not she's being clever (you tend to overestimate townies when you're scum) but who knows.

I also think Grack might be mafia, he has no agenda that I can tell, he just sort of exists.

And I'm tempted to, I don't know though.
Thing is, when given credit in mafia, you should always take it as town. If I control the lynch as a townie, because people are willing to listen to me, I am automatically increasing town chances of succeeding by a tiny bit. I'm not going to lynch myself, so statistically I'm more likely to hit mafia from my pov.
Even then, it's always beneficial as town to have people listen to me. On the other hand, as mafia it's the other way around. If I know people won't listen to me as mafia, I'll just bus every day and call everyone bad until the game is over.
So, no matter your intention here, you did something that is objectively scummy. Thing is though, people do objectively scummy things all the time as all alignmnets.

btw, there's about 99% chance I sheep marv day 1.

Except I wasn't doing that because I didn't put down my own points. All I did was say "I'm not a good player" which is true as I'm not that experienced. If you think it's 'objectively scummy' but you don't think it makes me scum then that means that you're accusing me of playing badly...which supports my point.
Essentially yes
For example, I am #1 player, therefore people listen to me.

Honestly though bats re-entry did not include a scum-read or Vote and it did include some stupid shit about "if I'm mafia and super is town, I have nothing to gain by hard defending super" except that 1, when super flips you get cred for being right, 2, your influence is so low that you aren't going to change anyone's minds. Vote threads suxk I don't think your vote is useless. Why are you telling me that?
