When I roll scum the next game I want to play exactly like this.
Everyone wants to lynch you but no one dares.

Presuming you're Acro, I came across a post in obsQT where you were calling me mafia. My brain boggled.

I was so close to calling a policy lynch on you today for the lulz because the game was won anyways.

Anyway, there was one more thing I wanted to say:
@Vivax: your behaviour D2 was, imho, not acceptable. See the obsQT for more.

Fairly certain I didn't. That was in response to Gonzaw's "what if I tell you scum has a chance at winning this". The only way scum had a chance of winning that was if you were scum. That's what that was in response to.

Yeah I was trolling there

I actually got a pm from someone asking me if I'm the last mafia during this cycle.
I won't tell you who it was to not embarass him but I guess it was for the same reason he assumed someone "weird" had to be mafia :p
Also on a more game related note: It was interessting to see how this game unfolded with such high presence of Marv / bugs / myself in this game. We all did well and stomped mafia this game but it was really hard for other people to contribute anything due to out overwhelming presence. Let's be honest, after d2 everyone stopped reading and everything bugs / Marv / myself did was based on stuff we already knew. Nothing but looking back at how people voted and so on, and it was enough to win the game that way. There really was no analysis on anyone past d2 and like I said multiple times, it came down to process of elimination like when I told Adam that I have to lynch him together with people like oats / Annul.
However, had we not stomped so badly and done a mistake anywhere in the process this really could have ended badly because there was so little to go by with us 3 dominating the town atmosphere so much.

Nj town leaders, aka Marv, Toad, Bugs.
Put da team on your backs!

It's mind boggling how some people were still not reading e.g. repeatedly saying Austin was scum(though Austin didn't help much on that front) Annul and Vivax also contributed a lot to the strange shit that was being said; I felt like some people were echoing their (really bad) opinions without knowing who originally said what or why.
Anyone in town this game whose name was not marv (and obv to a lesser extent sandro/toad) needs to look back upon their mistakes. Don't take it for granted that we won. There are still IMO tons of things to be learned from this game.
This game had some excellent examples of meta analysis:both of townies and scum. It was also a nice example of a negative elimination type strategy.

yeah not protecting Sandro n1 was awful
Things learned this game: Don't listen to town Sandroba

You weren't alone in that opinion.
I lost count of the amount of times I read a post from him in my catch-up and thought... 'I wonder if we should just kill him for town cohesion'.
Vivax, I'd avoid playing like this in future games, this time around there were no vigilantes, next time... maybe not so.

Glad my annul analysis at least convinced the obs QT I was town XD

From the scum QT:
'Well you are dead today I think. I will kill probably yamato tmr. adam maybe after that.'
I had a sinking feeling that was coming, hence why I was doing 3/5ths of fuck all on that day. I needed more time to organise my reads because everyone I looked at around me (Austin, Mkfuba, Annul) looked town. I felt confident I could talk my way out of a lynch even with a 30 hour chunk of inactivity.

You predicted the scumkills being absolutely atrocious?
I'm impressed :D

Honestly, YES.
The Mocsta kill over better options told me they were just blind-firing into the crowd, especially at people that no one had shown an interest in lynching (like me, as if I was any more under the radar, Id have been subterranean).

Well that was certainly enlightening in regards to activity for a full size game. Sorry if I was too inactive for this. D1 I still really need to figure out, but hopefully I helped prove I was town at least a bit.

Much the same as last time: I would comment on the game itself but I don't yet really know what happened, apart from the obvious details, I have to reevaluate many things with the skills I have learned in the past N days. Unfortunately this time life is going to intervene and I wont be back for quite a while. .... meantime HF
The other problem is as many people I think experience, If I played again soon and I rolled scum again, could I really put my heart into it, and do what I define as "play to win"? It is going to be a while before the answer to that is yes, and so until I am ready for a host to roll a dice and take my chances at being scum again, then
On February 02 2013 09:11 Toadesstern wrote:yeah not protecting Sandro n1 was awful Things learned this game: Don't listen to town Sandroba
One thing I learned this game. (about how to play town, or more precisely scum playing badly as town) When I call out play that at the time I think is wrong, if I later work out it wasn't because I go read some stuff elsewhere about how to play, or actually read all the posts, or.... then it gets real hard to keep the lies straight (reach townie conclusions/plays based on things you no longer believe) and it not bite you bad.
As for who ought be protected, it is a numerically solvable problem if both sides play well, but if one side (T/S) plays sub-optimally the other can do better... by out WIFOMING them. Unfortunately that "optimal" calculation requires accurate evaluations of just how "valuable" Sandroba was (not in general) but specifically in this game with whatever other RL issues there are. AKA there exist things Sand could know about Sand, that means your play on his advice was optimal...
If only I knew N1 what I + Show Spoiler +(think? but might just be derping again so :|) have worked out since, then I think I would never have even made that play of attacking you over not protecting Sand,
then I would have gotten lynched for something else...
I was going to say things about how and why I played... but then I remembered this "Mafia is an educated guessing game of epic proportions. The objective of the game is to ..." have fun guessing stuff.

normally it's not this spammy, only games in the past 6 months or so have been this bad.
Games larger than this wouldn't even break this post record less than a year ago.

Hey GG Town. Marv stomped. Sorry for playing so badly :/
