I like the points he has brought up regarding captain transparency, and I feel that his confident posting style indicatenes townie-ness so far. I'm also distrustful of circles, confirmations, and plans revolving around anything other than finding and killing scum in general, and thus do not wish to vote for sandroba. This could change depending on what cases are put forth for the lynch -- the day 1 lynch being the only captain power we know of so far, I want to pick whoever will use it the best. I'm leaning towards GMan as well. Although Coags promise to chuck Ace out of the airlock greatly appeals to my warped sense of humor.

honestly I wouldnt have a problem lynching ace because he has already pretty much stepped directly into the role of his douchbag scum meta straight from the get go

He just casually aknowledges that he cant be bothered to fucking pay attention and stamps it with his own official stamp of im ace so IM acety ace if aced im ace than ace is IM ace always ace Me ACE.
Lynch this guy. calling it now. Hes scum.

GM: I will not consider voting you unless you talk to me in PMs. In fact I will automatically consider you to be scum until we talk.

WBG someone ignoring you doesnt make them scum.. If anything it makes you annoying.

Not a lot going on here.
I'm not in out-of-thread communication with anyone yet, except briefly with sandroba to tell him why I would probably never see him on skype.
Looks like Zentor shot his candidancy in the face with his flip-flopping Mitt Romney-esque, "I'll say whatever you want me to say to get elected".
Who do we have now? sandroba or GMarshal? Can someone let me know if I missed a candidate?
I've read and played more games with sandroba than GM so I'm more comfortable voting leaving my vote on sandroba for now as I think I'd get a better read on his actions than GM's.

Please remember while you are not forced to post in the thread, voting is compulsory and you will be ejected from the game for not voting.

shut up scum. You just want excuses for ignoring me

I'll be sticking with GMarshal. I liked his response to my "democracy" discussion, and I agree with his points. Apparently he is also a big deal around these parts, so I'm sure that will be helpful to give him a somewhat elevated role. (assuming he's not scum)

I want to update my campaign with the platform If you vote for me and im elected I will flip a coin and either lynch ace or wbg.
dead srs.

Ok, sorry for lack of activity, built a mobile donkey shelter and then went to restaurant... too much Cognac. Back to the game:
Comparing campaigners content, I would like to vote for GM. He makes by far the most sense out of all those running for mayor. He isn't gimicky, he isnt super pro PM-ing (which admittedly has its uses late game, but seems to confuse the hell out of stuff early game), and his stance regarding 'enlightened despot' vs 'democrat' appeals to me. What I don't like is his vote on Sandroba. Similarlyto the premise 'push a lynch that you believe will most likely result in scum flip', our votes for Mayor should be 'who you think is most likely to summarily execute scum'. So my question to you (GM) is this:
You don't know that Sandroba is town, if you are town then you know for sure that you are town, threrfore you are most likely to find scum. Therefore why vote for Sandroba unless he's your scumbuddy, I don't get it .

EBWOP: theres meant to be a question mark somewhere... definitely too much cognac

@ Node, I'm sorry you feel that way - that's just how I post. I like to think out loud a bit. fwiw I think the discussion we got on the captain secrecy question was useful.
Anyway, I'm voting for GMarshal. I realize he hasn't supported any kind of transparency agreement, and neither has Sandroba. That's fine; they're right, I guess, in that there could be information or powers given to the captain which it would help the town to keep secret. However, I think GMarshal's attitude of "I'll do what I think is best, but I'll explain it" is more helpful to the town than Sandroba's attitude of "I'll do what I think is best, and you can suck it." In my limited experience, good discussion has been one of the keys to good town play, and I feel like Sandroba's focus on private communications would not help that.

Oh, I guess my question towards GM also goes for Sandroba too. i.e if you are townie, why vote for someone you are not sure is townie?

Also I hardly ever vote for myself in elections, its not respectable. Its not a matter of logic, its a simple matter of if I can vote for the guy running against me and he votes for me, its the same net result, but its much more elegant. Is it stupid? Probably. I'm going to do it anyway.
