Done for the night. Can't keep looking at the bullshit in this thread. Layabout throws the fuckin game for himself by making the scummiest move he could possibly make (seriously, sitting there lurking would have been 100x better than swapping your vote with nothing attached to it) and now it's just troll time. Peace.

Nicolas has been modkilled. He was a Stark Bannerman.
Anyone else who wants to be replaced do NOT post it in thread, PM me.

so if you are town, and you see that you are in the lead to be lynched, and there is another lynch that isn't you, your advice is to just sit there and lurk?

I just woke up and am going out all day, but I just wanted a quick say.
Firstly, SLJ just soared sky-high in my scumometer. He was very hedgy about why he was voting for Layabout. In fact, I don't even know that there was ever a case against him, except for this:
But I have a better idea, let's lynch layabout for not giving a fuck and popping in to support my case on oberyn and sprouting a lot of bullshit in all of his posts. Filter laya and check it out. Maybe syllo will be kind enough to pop in and make a decent case. Meanwhile you can all trust me and just get laya lynched. and:
Me and syllo are arguing about who is going to post here, because none of us feel like it. Honestly I don't have a magical sure shot lynch for day 1, mostly because I'm not familiar with most of the new players here. I stand by my choice of lynching layabout especially after him flipping scum on c9++ and lurking the same way. I'd rather we didn't lynch mattchew today, because he is being very active at least, and that's never a good idea for day1 lynch, unless we are pretty sure of it, which I'm certainly not. And that is the sum total for why SLJ started the layabout suspicion.
Another vote that jumped out was the last minute switch by MrZentor. His reasoning seems fatalistic and exactly the kind of reasoning a mobster would use to voteswitch at the last second, if needed to save his scumbuddy greymist.
Now I'm off. See you tonight.

I avoided you being lynched, how would you say I'm suspicious? You ungrateful fuck.

WBG let's join forces. I don't want to win with town anymore. I went out at 6 o'clock, I told everyone my case on laya was shit and people still sheep me. Srsly town why the fuck did you lynch laya. I was obviously joking. I realize I sound scummy as fuck. Dun care.

SLJ, If you thought your layabout case was bad or changed your mind about him why didn't you unvote him or change your vote before you left. You say you two have discussed things, what have you been discussing since you didn't even have a lynch-candidate.
|
Looks like this thread was a real mess around the deadline... Why was layabout lynched again? He wasn't maybe the worst possible lynch, but definitely not among the best either...!
I want to believe Mafia had a huge influence on this vote, because otherwise this doesn't look promising for future votes. I wouldn't look too much at the votes themselves, because I doubt Mafia would focus their votes on a single target (especially day 1). A better clue would be the discussion around layabout on day 1. GreYMisT's suspicion about gumshoe at the start looked promising, but I have to ask, why did you then switch to Oberyn and layabout and forgot about gumshoe? In my opinion, gumshoe has become increasingly suspicious during the game, not the other way around. I don't think layabout was among the best lynch candidates, and definitely not Oberyn either (he even gave his opinion on every player without hesitation, which would hurt a Mafia player in the future, since he would have a harder time saving his teammates later). Also, SLJ, you are partly to blame about the layabout lynch, even if not intentionally. Why would you vote for him, encourage others to vote for him, then leave the matter be? Where did you exactly "tell everyone your case on layabout was shit"?
It's hard to say who was pushing layabout with good intentions and who wasn't, but of one thing I'm quite certain, and that is gumshoe's suspiciousness. I seriously can't understand why everybody seems to have forgotten about him? He just posts some suspicious stuff, then posts some even more suspicious stuff, and after that disappears completely! He hasn't even responded to my previous pressure at all... Since he is the combination of a suspicious Mafia agenda pusher and an unhelpful lurker, I'd say he is still a better lynch than someone like GreYMisT. Let's look at my previous post again:
On March 24 2012 01:55 Xatalos wrote: His mindset seems to be completely wrong. It looks like he doesn't focus on lynching a Mafia player, but rather a person who is "useless" (no matter if he's town). First he says that Acrofales is pretty much certainly a Mafia player... Then he says that Alderan is also most likely in Mafia. But who does he decide to vote for? Not for either of these (apparently Mafia) players, but rather for Layabout - his only basis for this seems to be "even if he's town, we don't lose much by lynching him". The goal of this game is not to preserve useful players or to kill useless players - it's to lynch Mafia! If gumshoe isn't following this logic, he must be pushing the agenda of Mafia, not town...
Why didn't anyone even consider lynching him after I pointed out these things? Seriously, I hope I hadn't been sleeping by the time of the deadline... He could definitely use a Detective visit today, at the very least!
So, if you're a Detective, Jailkeeper, Tracker (or even a Vigilante) I would give serious consideration to these people for today: gumshoe, Mattchew, GreYMisT, Acrofales, risk.nuke.
I'm going to be offline for a quite long amount of time beginning shortly, but I might be able to post again later today. Please, try to be wiser about the special power usage than the previous vote behaviour...

Layabout wasn't in the lead when he swapped his vote. Try again with your shitty memes.
Maybe he should have done the sensible thing and defended himself?

How about b/c layabout made the dumbest move he could possibly make? He deserved his lynch and in his future town play he'll know better (hopefully, because I'd lynch him every time with the given information)

I want to shoot you for not even thinking about this for even a second.
Let's say Greymist and I are mafia. Why would I change my vote to look suspicious to try to kill my scummy buddy? I could have just kept my vote on Mattchew and not looked suspicious. Also, my vote on Greymist makes it easy for double voters to kill him. So I make myself look suspicious to make it more likely that one of my scum friends dies? It doesn't make any sense.
Let's sat Greymist is innocent, and I am guilty. I could vote for Greymist, but because we're choosing between two innocent people and don't know their roles, why should I risk my innocence to try to shift the vote? It doesn't make any sense.
Let's say I am innocent. I see that Mattchew isn't going to get lynched, and it's pretty obvious that Greymist is scummier than Layabout. I switch my vote, because I want the scummier person to die.
