pandain is probably the best candidate under these parameters. he is an extremely organized and tactical scum hunter his analyses skills are good and he has a good level head about what needs to be done.

Besides my role I only offer my sincere commitement to this game, and to the town. I will not make decisions lightly, I will ask people for their advice. I know people such as you and Ace and brownbear and such are very expierenced, and I will ask for your advice but take it with cautioun. I will make analysis, and be an active townie.
Alot of you have been saying I'm very transparent and can't lie very well, I guess that's good? At the very least, then I will be easy to spot if mafia. This is why I'm running for mayor.

you don't sound very proactive, that makes for a bad mayor
you'll probably just end up doing whatever mafia tell you to do. the mayor needs to have the balls to stand up against the town when they are wrong or when he is being fed lies by mafia and make decisions for himself sometimes
every time i run for scum mayor i say "ill side with the town and do what the town tells me" because it sounds so pro-town but really it just means "ill support whatever bandwagon the mafia starts"
whether you're scum or not is irrelevant to that point.

Read 8 pages of WTFs. It seems to me that people are bsing about their roles. Fishball claims to be in a circle, now Pandain claims he can make a circle. WHAT? My role is nothing crazy like those two but a very conventional blue role. People are taking advantage of the lack of role list and bsing roles to their liking. I don't trust them at all. And Fishball, either multiple people from your circle (at least 2 given that to be mod killed noobs exist), or you are the number 1 suspect.
DoctorHelvetica had been the most active person. He is also experienced. We need mayor like him. He also said he can somehow prove his innocence which is another plus.
So I will change my vote to him. AND Fishball, your fellow circle got to step up or you will be a very good lynch.

Yeah, I've made my decision by now. I'm voting for the Doc. I don't have much to say about that I, or other players, haven't already mentioned. Suffice it to say that I think he's the best choice for the Mayor.
There's no way to know if he's Mafia unless we vote for him and see what his role is, but unless his role is some crazy "role-concealment" deal, the Doc has no reason to out himself on center stage.
I'll be passing out campaign buttons until the end of the day. =O

What makes you think there are invaluable blues? Every role has a purpose, some may be more bizarre than others, but I would think that every role is potentially game changing.
I trust that Dr.H can stand true to his word of 100% proof of town. If not, then we have our first town lynch target.
As for Fishball, without multiple members of your circle stepping forward, I can't trust you.
Pandain, all you are offering is being a loyal townie, and being able to "indirectly" prove your role. Well congrats at being a townie, you can continue to be one. We need a Mayor who can lead the town to victory, not just aid the town in getting there.
We need a Mayor with potential, with a plan. Bum, Dr.H, and Fishball all have given those to us, you really have not.

to be clear the second scenario in which i could fail in confirming my role is that the person is mafia. even if that happens they will be pressured to claim and I'm just going to come out and say who I confirmed to after a brief period so they can't lie about it without incriminating themselves
the first scenario is really unlikely

I asked him that previously. Apparently, his role allows him to communicate... somehow. Personally, I think a role that allows communication and negates the need for a Plague Doctor is either ridiculous in design or overpowered, but I'm fine as long as the Doc is who he says he is.

How do we know the person who is "verifying" your confirmation of your role isnt just a Scumbuddy of yours?

DrH, you forgot another scenario in which the first step would fail. If you're mafia, you could just ask a buddy, or hell, the Godfather (presuming he exists) to confirm your role. He posts and the townies are none the wiser. The mafia gets inducted into every circle there is and is put in a position of power.
I'm not sold, yet.
