Although my opinion probably doesn't matter in the grand scheme I'd disagree with saying he had time to play because of the concurrent game. He definitely fucked up but if the games ran sign ups at the same time it sounds like he misunderstood the work required in a 30 man. The fact that he acknowledged his mistake, tried to get a replacement (albeit poorly) and still remained active in the game he could dedicate time to should show that it was an honest mistake and not that he didn't give a shit that he was ruining a game. He could have done shitty in both but done enough to avoid modkills and made two games significantly worse instead of trying to salvage what he could. Not understanding the replacement thing bears some merit but is it going to take two extra games on ban to make an active player understand that? I don't think so. | ||

threesr: should receive a lifetime ban. Not only did he smurf and lie about it, this is not the first game in which he's gone inactive. He should not be allowed in any future games. kushm4sta: 3 game ban for smurfing and playing in a manner that was destructive to his alignment's wincon. While I do not believe he accepts that he did it with malicious intent, that does not excuse the fact that in the end he was furthering his own enjoyment of the game at the expense of newbies. The punishment would have been less severe had he shown that he knew what he did was wrong. In light of that sentiment, I think it'd be good if he were to apologize to the players of the game. | ||

My only crime is smurfing in a newbie game though. Any kind of "trolling" I am accused of is actually just me trying to play scum while roleplaying. I was playing to my win con at all times. The ban of three games is ridiculously long. I do not believe what I did is technically illegal. Any mention of smurfing in tlmafia rules says it is not allowed on TL unless you tell the host about it. TL.net didn't care so I didn't have to tell the host. | ||

If you can't see why fucking over a host and a newbie game is wrong, I don't want you here. (subject to discussion, I might be swayed, although I don't see how) For reference, the OP of that game specifically says NO SMURFS. At all, not even those approved by tl. And the game says less than four games played. By the player. On TL. So you broke two rules, and didn't even keep the host in the loop. There is no excuse or rationalization you can make. Also, I'm discussing perming you in the staff forums, since you just admitted to being a PBU. I just thought you should know. | ||

At any rate, I agree with the proposed 3 game ban if not GM's inclination to have him permabanned. Kush, while not necessarily a horrible person to play with (I enjoy playing with him more than, for instance, grush no offense intended), his attitude is definitely on the destructive side. | ||
