It is also showing that you are not intending on playing the game based on that reason and instead going to "coast" along. Signing up to play in a game means you are going to give it a decent chunk of time and not doing so robs another player a chance to play. You may have not directly said "i quit" but by asking to be replaced and stressing your activity would be borderline inactive I can't keep that kind of player in my game. It's pretty sad if you can get modkilled for that but you do not ever get modkilled for activity that is completely unacceptable. I'm not taking into account special considerations, such as his past history. e: zorkmid should have however been clearer about his reasons for asking for a replacement e2: Also even if you think the person asking for a replacement deserves a warning/ban, you do not have to modkill him and thus also punish everyone else in the game. You had replacements ready. | ||

Both were repentant and it doesn't appear to have been a devious exploitation of the rules, merely an easy to make oversight. They did perfectly fine otherwise. On the other hand Mig took a 1 game ban for it in PYP Interesting with the same circumstances and behavior just to dissuade others from doing it. I know a lot of people were angry at RoL for fake nuking kurumi and going afk but I don't think that deserves anything, considering a) he might have believed kurumi was town or b) he thought Kurumi's nuke was fake too and simply was messing with him as well or c) believed it was real and was so unmotivated at getting nuked before he even got back and posted that he didn't want to bother. On that subject, I'm considering a warning for Kurumi for griefing RoL (by nuking him to death 12 hours after the game starting, with RoL not having made a single post). I don't think it warrants a ban because outside of that Kurumi played fine and clearly cared about the game, but this felt really excessive and hard to support. I'd like to hear other's views on this. Inactivity bans are approved. I'm going to roll with bans for the whole role confirming fiasco, simply because its explicitly against the rules, and we've been a little too lenient in the past. I'll let them play in AEO Mafia before the ban goes through because I think at least one of them said they really wanted to play and were extremely polite about it. I don't think a warning for kurumi or RoL is appropriate. Day vigis shoot day 1 all the time. Bad play isn't supposed to be punished by the hosts, but by the players. There are plenty of examples of day vigis shooting day 1 (BM got shot in the first hours of PYP:2 and thats not the only example), its sucky, but up to the town/players to fix the behavior and play better. RoL had the excuse of being nuked before he got a chance to really post, so I can't really justify punishment against him. Anything I missed? (Waiting for madmen to finish to address zorkmid) | ||
