Xiye out of DMO prison makes me so happy, dude is a beast and I'm glad this LGD team is actually performing like I thought they could in the offseason. Although admittedly their schedule has been pretty easy so far
highly questionable Kennen game from ADD. He TPs in to the first baron fight alone (although Varus TP was a few seconds later) with no stopwatch and either didn't have ult or never used it. Got Zhonyas much too late to matter
Lux Cait combo is so mindbogglingly broken. JL does more damage with one AA than Ashe does with 5, while being so incredibly safe. That one baron fight Cait was attacking from outside the baron pit, then did nothing for 5 seconds, went back in and was hooked, which somehow ended in Cait killing everyone. He did almost twice as much damage as Ashe, who was in the middle of the fight the entire time attacking almost non stop. All this is possible because not only does Cait have long range, Lux stops any sort of engage with Q and Mikaels plus mega shields.
Can someone explain how JDG and TOP haven't qualified for worlds? LPL gets 4 spots and they're in the semi finals, is there something I'm missing? I just don't understand how Rogue were the first to qualify when we knew JDG and TOP got seeded into semis.
For anyone like me, EU and China have different formats despite both having 4 seeds. China is still doing, Champ, Most Point, Regional Qualifiers format
I've had a lot of fun watching the lpl playoffs so far, I'm not particularly invested in any team so its just entertaining seeing how aggressive the games are
This year is especially interesting because FPX and iG are both flailing around (but still have a chance to make Worlds), 2 new powerhouses in TES and JDG, and 2 more teams that are looking good in SN and LGD. Shame that V5 are already out of contention, they couldn't even out their atrocious spring season.
I think TES and JDG are both guaranteed to make it to Worlds if they win their respective series in playoffs now, but FPX and iG are facing off in Regional qualifier for a possible 4th seed, and that's tough. If SN and LGD both lose, I think one of them is guaranteed 3rd seed when they face off in qualifiers, with a second shot for 4th seed.
Predictions for Worlds spots:
1. JDG 2. TES 3. LGD 4. iG (they always barely make it in)
iG hasn't won a best of 5 in LPL in over a year, I'm not confident it will happen. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if both LGD and Suning make it. I want sofm and SwordArt at worlds

yeah I find myself really wanting LGD to make worlds after watching their two bo5 lol, Suning I'm a little more lukewarm on but we will see
lol wow crazy how one of IG and FPX will be out of world's contention since they are facing of each other in the regional finals and even that doesn't guarantee either of them advancing to play-ins
I don't see how any other team could beat JDG or TES. Maybe DWG, but that's pretty much it. Some teams have individual players who can keep up, like Caps, Deft, Kiin etc, but the 2 top LPL teams basically have no weak players this year.
Imo JDG threw that game 5, they only needed to get dragon once to delay soul, or not get aced.
Oh well, at least the series was amazing to watch. Congrats to Knight for winning his first title, both teams can go to Worlds knowing that the only real competition is each other.
Oh yeah, they kind of did. But this is Worlds 1st seed, would've been nice for JDG . Not that it really matters, only team they have to watch out for is DWG, maybe coin flip DRX, and I have a small hope for G2. Curious if we will see one or two groups of death this year, because there are so many teams.
I'm really hoping for a typical TI format over the typical Worlds format. Two big groups that seed into a bracket would be much better given the weird seed distributions they'll have. And I agree, my dream top four would be JDG, TES, G2, DWG, but we've never gotten the finals we "should" have gotten so I don't know why we'd start now

The only worlds I can think of where we got the “real” finals was 2015 I would argue, even though the finals in 2016 went to 5 games the rox skt semis really should have been the finals imo
