They also did ban Ryze once and still lost to a standard draft, im a bit surprised Fnatic didn't try to take him themselves in game 4 though, FPX was comfortable enough to choose him into an unknown lane so why couldn't Nemesis too if he thinks he's a better laner? In their comms Rekkles and Hyli have a conversation about how they said bot lane was shit beforehand and were clearly wrong. So it was the entire team Could be just mid and bot. There was an interview with Rekkles before the start of their week 2 and he said that there were some disagreements in the team about picking Garen Yuumi. He said something along the lines that he personally doesn't care whether the duo is fun/broken and he's fine with continuing to use it if they win games with it. I don't think he meant the usual "I'll play whatever is best for our team" stuff some pros say when asked if they enjoy stuff like Sejuani duty. I think he meant that he believed Garen Yuumi should be prioritized and the part of the team that belived otherwise was wrong. I'm bringing this up because I think it's possible Bwipo and/or Broxah might have wanted to approach the quarterfinal differently, but they couldn't convince the rest of the team to try that. I suppose its entirely possible, but every piece of media we've seen as the public hints toward the entire team thinking FPX was bad/free. Point being, enough people on the team thought they would be free that they disrespected the fuck out of them and gave DoinB Ryze whenever he wanted. Also who the fuck made the call to have the G2/SKT series at 6:00AM EST so Korean viewers can watch the game

SKT vs G2 starts at 8pm KST so for Korean Fans that's a good time to watch the game

Is Rylai on Ryze a thing now?

Wtf that fight was just a mess. Abilities flying everywhere in that super narrow band, flashes of light, and piled on health bars evaporating.

ok who knows wtfs gonna happen this series. i retract everything i said about skt coming prepared. they outdrafted themselves by picking neeko. banning quinn and first picking renek is also pretty questionable

Yeah that was a high level game.
I think G2 constantly outrotated SKT in the early mid game when they engineered a slight lead after losing the early game fights. Although I did not agree with trading baron for inhib. That allowed SKT to catch up and even overtake in xp. Imo it was just the pick on Faker that allowed G2 to win.

Mostly agree with what you said, although I think the baron trade was neutral, since it's a pressure point that G2 was able to use the rest of the game.

Even with Baron SKT couldn't really match Ryze in the sidelanes, so having one inhib down and the other one threatened is a bunch of pressure. Then it's on G2 to not let SKT just collapse on Caps.

Please don't make it 3:0, I want a show!

Teddy saved SKT with that monstrous performance.

How the fuck did they not manage to keep Lee out with their teamcomp? Anyway, Reddit yelling to ban Ryze, turns out the real play is to ban Xayah and Kai'Sa and let Perkz misposition and miss Qs.
