how can you not want to see skt at worlds. their gameplay aside, the narrative alone of skt and faker coming back to worlds to redeem themselves is worth watching. their gameplay may be more methodical and patient than other teams but thats also why theyre considered to be one of the hardest teams to beat in any series. no matter their form theyve always got this "final boss" image that surrounds them. i personally cannot wait for worlds if skt qualifies again

Seriously though, SKT is playing really well, I'm interested in who can stop them in LCK?
|
faker says they can just go on a 14 win streak. skt starts to go on a ridiculous win streak.

RUDE. Naehyun had so many options to just aim Ez over lowerpriority targets and wasted cooldowns zz
SKT march on!

I like SKT, and I enjoy their history. But right now, the game is so action packed and SKT is just a bit boring. Also, with the level of play shown by DWG and GRF (yes, no need to point out their failures), maybe Sandbox too, if SKT were to make it I would expect one of those teams not to make it, and it would be a shame because usually KR brings veteran teams while other regions have newer teams popping off. GRF, DWG, Sandbox, SKT, KZ and GenG all look to have fairly good chances of making it to Worlds, and that was my list of preferred teams.

How/why don't you like SKT? They're like the Korean TSM, in every possible way. Except they're actually successful internationally :p

Sure, but Gahlo loves TSM.. hence my comment lol. To expand on it. It's almost strange how similar both teams are stylistically. Star midlaner, issues with high performance pro active jungler, slow methodic playstyle, most known team (or biggest fanbase)..

My bad, I thought your premise was that TSM is without a doubt likable. I have no clue about people's team preference.

Poor Summit, he dumpstered Doran pretty hard but it wasn't enough. GRF looked ok, biggest problem was Doran not being on the same page as everyone else, but that could change with time, he's basically a stranger in a team that's played together for ages now.
|
Why is Sword not playing anymore? Champ pool issues?
|
Think GRF decided he was the weak link. Doran is OK, he gets destroyed in lane (unluckily played against some of the best LCK laners though) and is sometimes not on the same page as shis team, but he has shown some good plays, think he can grow to be a valid replacement.
Would be funny if SKT won this split again, based on how current performance it's not unlikely.
|
From 9th place to 1st place, lol, SKT with the comeback holy moly (obviously helped by other teams) I don't think any team (in the LCK at least) can stop them now. When the Gods (Just Faker) speak, all the people must hear them. SKT has lost a total of 2 maps since their win streak began in week 5, 1 map to IG in Rift Rivals and 1 map to Griffin (which doesn't matter cuz SKT won the series anyways), that is an incredible record
|
Tbh, it's still possible for them to lose, they have SB and DWG in their last 3 games, doubt they'd lose to HLE. But playoffs is pretty much confirmed I think.

SKT should've won that second game against Griffin as well haha
