If your definition of 'succeeding' is getting out of groups, then yes, getting 3rd seed sucks. I don't think any of the teams in LCS are merely aiming at 'getting out of groups', and that means beating teams like SKT and LGD. It's going to be very hard, but it is possible.

CN as a whole seem favorites but historically they have always shit the bed when going to worlds. SKT aren't that impressive to me but they firmly #1 in KR atm.

At this rate, LGD is stronger.
But considering that Worlds will be on 5.16 with literally zero competitive matches on it, LGD/EDG/T1 is in air plus bracket luck still exists.
