What a user posted earlier about a late night game last night most likely cut into the time they could use to set up the arena. Esports isn't traditional, so I don't really see what it matters. It caters to a whole new crowd who don't really care about traditional Saturday afternoon TV watching on the couch. | ||

Although as a US citizen, I must use 'western world' in the cold era context as a euphemism for the capitalist west, so Russia will be excluded. "Need set up time" sounds like code for 'MSG isn't allowing you to come in to set up things for a Saturday afternoon start time if you wanted to' How many of the people needed to set things up are Riot employees, and how many are the local arena employees? | ||

Some of the people needed to set things up are the people who were related to the prior night even who need to clear their stuff away. Then they need to start setting up things for LCS. Then they need to test things once they have been set up to make sure everything works. It's not a 5 minute job. If your prior event started at 7pm and ran until 10pm (as in, everyone out of the arena by then), then you have to get things packed away then MAYBE the prior night event will be cleared ready for you to start the next morning, unless you want to start setting up your own stuff at midnight. Then you want some contingency time in case something goes wrong. TWO DAY setup for KISS stage organisation from a concert. Or you can watch any one of the massive number of time lapse videos on Youtube saying it takes hours to set things up. | ||
