Clearly the problem is that xmithie and zionspartan aren't friends enough, I'm sure a new pair of NA players with more friendship will bring in the golden age I mean look how great friendship has been for WFX! CLG.Avalon and CLG.Helios confirmed, friendship will save us all! I find it interesting that peeps here were so eager to insult TL management, insult liquid122, insult the "anti TL philosophy" of picking up fenix and piglet. They magically disappeared when TL started winning :^) I'm pretty sure everyone here still thinks TL is pretty shit and is going to get utterly rekt by C9.

He always says this after he loses.

He said that about every opponent he loses to. He was saying that M and Gambit bot lanes were the best in EU.

For some reason Scarra makes for the best photoshops I just can't explain why

At least finally tl performed well with piglet on the team.Even though it was vs clg in playoffs it is still something.

I mean credit where it's due they had solid drafts and IWD/Quas managed to perform well for the first time in seemingly forever. Question is whether that can be repeated vs C9, probably not but it'll be interesting to see

Can Doublelift please stop playing LoL now?

That series was pretty standard clg tbh. Get your hopes up in the first ten minutes then:
Game 1: link R's the game away on a full ho dive against a rumble with ult.
Game 2: xmithy can't land r to save his life. Or anyone else's for that matter.
Game 3: feed former best ADC world 3 kills one of which gives him full solo xp.
I feel like link did better this split than every other split, but he's still choke master 9000 when every the word "playoff" gets mentioned. Xmithy played like garbage in all 3 games. So much so that they even did a montage of how bad he was doing at the end of game 2. Dlift and aphro are a fine duo lane but when one of them can't shore up the weaknesses of the other than they both look and play like garbage.
Zion just doesn't really... Do? Anything. His picks that get forced on him seem out of place. I can't really put my finger on it but he can't just one man army if his team, for lack of an equivalent lol phrase, make enough space for him to be relevant. Plus he's usually not playing 1v5 champs and even when he is he just gets bodied in lane.

Doublelift always hailed Piglet as his hardest opponent he played against, even during their trip to Korea last year.
Usually he says something like "well, we fucked up again", something generous.

Ya, it's definitely only Doublelift fault.

Then tell me why is Doublelift a problem and why is he BIG ENOUGH problem to be fixed in first place? Thanks.

To me, this series is a good example of how teams react to pressure and the playoff atmosphere. TL finally had a series with a solid pick/ban phase, a cohesive strategy going into the match, and were able to execute on that plan. Conversely, CLG's strategy was ok, but the pick/ban was ok at best, they couldn't seem to be in the right place or land the skillshots when they needed them to, and they couldn't go through with their plans.
Granted, CLG's never been a team known for their teamfighting, but when you have a pretty solid team composition that can set up some fantastic fights/initations (I'm referring to game 2 here) and you whiff you have to back out or change targets to just blow up one person and back out, as TL's composition in game 2 will punish you hardcore for such a huge mistake.
Link seems to have nerve issues come playoff time, and I don't know if CLG has the support structure in place to help him with that. Xmithie also seems to be very boom/bust on certain champions and might also have some nerve issues.
Fenix finally showed up right when it mattered the most, communication seemed pretty solid for TL this series, Piglet in that playoff atmosphere is when he seems to thrive the most, and we watched him style all over CLG this series, especially in game 2 when TL built the 'Protect the Kog' comp and executed it quite well.
Edit:
If I was the one running CLG, I'd have a serious talk with Xmithie and Link about what they want to do for Summer Split, and if they want to stick with the team, then they have to compete for the position. I'd also want to make sure there's a support structure in place for all the players (if there isn't one there already). I'd also want to have CLG work on team fights and communication during them.

Zion is your stereotypical NA Season 2 top lane diva who has no ability to play any of the support style lane swaps. Literally the guy only has Jax + split push in his inventory. He was easily the most overhyped NA transfer this split. (And that's saying a lot considering how Piglet did his first few sets).
BTw, also give credit where it's due. TL's comps were magnificent. Xpecial, Fenix, Dominate all stepping up huge. Piglet playing like how we actually expected.

TL proceeds to get 3-0'd by C9

Worst performers on CLG during that series
1. Link 2. Xmithie 3. Aphromoo 4. Zion 5. Doublelift
Tell me those rankings aren't fair I dare you son
edit: swapped aphro and xmithie

idk if Aphro played poorly enough to warrant second worst slot on CLG today. But I agree with Link most blame while Double least.

Is he really though?
They havn't had a Jungler that created a threat since Saint. They havn't had solo laners that were big threats either really. I mean Zion has been great, but he is a top laner so in competitive he is kind of underfed regardless.
Its kind of like Piglet has looked amazing when Quas, IWD, and Fenix are a threat. I'd sooner find LiftLift additional threats than get rid of LiftLift.
