I'm not sure if Imp/Mata are that much better than Deft/Heart though. They are the agressive balls to the wall type while deft/heart are the farm until end of the world type.Definitely much harder to play against from what we've seen this season.

always enjoy a good justice porn. Sssumday and Kakao winning ogn after they got treated so badly on KTB by the old startale trio is nice!

I think the reason arrow always falls so behind in cs is because he always, always groups early and swings the early skirmishes in kta's favor. Kakao's aggressive playstyle really enables alot of the team's individual strengths early game, and by creating favorable opportunities early on, arrow gets gold through kills and objectives, which covers for his really shitty laning phase. Even if he might get a lot of flack for falling behind 100+ cs, his playstyle really complements kakao's and their ability to coordinate early is key to kta's early game dominance.

can someone explain to me why corki was picked over trist? corki went 1-3 this final. I especially dont understand the pick in blind mode

That's only a part of it. Arrow is just completely outclassed at this level though. In favourable match-ups, he ended up losing by 10-20 cs by 15min or so (sometimes with Heart roaming too), while in unfavourable match-ups, he would be 30-40s down by 15min or so. In the last game, he was roaming so there was a greater difference, but it was obvious that Arrow was the inferior ADC in laning, in teamfights (he would usually misposition, and even when he didn't, he had much less damage output than Deft even though Deft was always the dive target for KTA), and even in the macro game, he was worse than Deft.
I was rooting hard for KTA, but Arrow/Hachani would get wrecked at worlds vs Deft/Heart, Imp/Mata, Namei/fzzf and Uzi/Zero in terms of laning and teamfight presence.

Arrow also said in the post series interview that he has trouble keeping a strong mental condition when laning against players he knows are better than him. He attributed a councilor for helping him with it, but I doubt he's really over it or he wouldn't have mentioned it.

Welp time to see how badly Blue stomped KTA and wait what? HAHAHA GET WRECKED SAMSUNG
Holy shit KTA actually did it. Time to watch some vods

What i'm saying is that Arrow, in the system that kta is running, has managed to circumvent his biggest weakness (really, really bad laning) by grouping up early in order to make aggressive early plays with Kakao. Arrow grouping is key to KTA's early playmaking potential, as they often win the skirmishes simply by having more people there. In terms of teamfighting, I'd say that Deft and Arrow each played better in the games that their team won. What really impressed me about Arrow is that he managed to approach his biggest weakness in a way that complements the way his team's playstyle. Instead of trying to fix something he naturally wasn't good at, Arrow opts to avoid the issue entirely and chooses to get his gold through grouping and pressuring early. Because he groups early, KTA has a much better chance at winning early battles and securing objectives. I'll admit I though he was shit before too, but he's adapted his play to fit his team's needs beautifully.

I always hated ryu/score/mafa for this. Those three assholes were in control of that Bullets team, not the coaches or owners. Thank god they are almost all gone and the coaching staff is finally getting their shit together. Why am I not surprised one of the coaches from KT B hated dealing with those three so much that he took Zero and Insec with him to China.

Yeah, I would agree with that and the comment above about his weak mentality vs strong players.
You have to admit, though, that he is fortunate to have such a strong jungler and mid to fall back on, or he would not even have the chance to sacrifice his lane for rotational plays at all. Further, even though I was rooting for KTA, I don't think they were overall stronger than Samsung Blue in the finals. Unless the bot lane has a lot of potential to grow, KTA might come close to their skill ceiling next season and still find themselves below SSW, SSB and maybe SKT K.
With the meta shifting towards more powerful ADCs, it's basically a requirement of top teams to have a strong bot lane (see OMG's slump and Starhorn's rise in China).

It's not that bad. There is a lot more players to handle now. It understandable.

Just to remind you guys that SKT K vs Samsung White is in two days, don't miss it !
