It has been apparent that the studio was becoming much too small, though. It's cool if you hear these stories about people lining up since 5 am to get a seat and it gets romanticized to the outsider, but I'm sure it isn't that nice for the attendees.
Would have loved to have gone to a few more games in the last couple of seasons, but given how popular LoL has gotten here, it's not even worth it now unless you have a spare couple of hours to hang around outside the studio, and for me with my work schedule, usually impossible. It's awesome that we're at the point now where people are willing to queue for a game from 5 am, but in the long run it's not really healthy for e-sports if the only people who get to attend games are people with a certain lifestyle and level of dedication.

they seem to want two teams per org which would hint at the proleague format perhaps

Maybe they start to sell tickets in the new studio so people who want to attend actually can and move away from the first come first serve they have now, Even if only a certain percentage of the seats can be bought.

I think that's the ideal solution. You could pay a small fee to have a reserved seat, and then any unreserved seats could be doled out for free at the door (as they are now), with the obvious caveat that you might not be able to get one. That way you can avoid having empty seats for less popular games, and maybe even make a little bank for the big games.

If it is ProLeague format, and you do need two teams, which org would you say has the strongest roster? Atm I'd say 1.SKT 2.KT 3.Najin 4.CJ 5.Samsung

I think CJ would profit the most from this and they might be able to field a magical CJ allstar team which could potentially be really strong. I agree with you that SKT and KT are probably the strongest and they would most likely just field their standard SKT K and KT B rosters most of the time, although it would be very interesting to see the top teams like KT, SKT and Samsung switch around their rosters for specific strategies, which seems to fit Samsung especially well. Having Watch and Ggoong play in the same team would also just be cool. I'd really like this format.

SKT would just field SKT K and is still the best by default lol or sword with goong mid is terrifying prospect. However in proleague overall samsung would be so dangerous, samsung are gods of preparation and coming up with one shot strats so in a proleague I'd actually consider samsung the strongest due to how good they are at preparing strats in what I assume would be a load of BO1s

I don't know, how will Proleague be played, but if teams will be mixed, CJ Entus will profit more than other one because of their theorycrafting and general preparations.
If there will be kind of bo3 between KeSPA squads, then SKT-Samsung-CJ-KT are definite top-4 with Najin, JinAir, IM and Prime slightly behind.
If bo1...

Imo
Putting Ozone/Blue below everyone when they have to play single bo3/5? :D Bold decision.

SKT KT SAMSUNG CJ NAJIN PRIME IM JINAIR
16 teams proleague??? damn thats crazy (assuming 2 teams each org.)

So what's the deal with this Proleague thing? Is this Kespa taking on OGN's Champions? And if it's not, how is this different? How will this figure into circuit point allocation etc? Also, are Najin now a member of Kespa?

OGN's Champions will remain as the 'OSL' of LoL. Proleague will be what Proleague is in the SC scene, to help promote and foster a team league and to encourage the growth of lesser known players.

The OSL/Proleague relationship makes sense for Starcraft, but I don't see how it works for League, since League is a team game by nature. You could combine the rosters of the individual organisations I guess, but then it becomes more of a novelty event.

Is Xenics not going to be part of ProLeague? Have they not joined Kespa yet? I really think SKT will do the best. Sure S didn't perform that spectacularly, but their individual talents are insane.

Xenics is not a KeSPA team, Najin on the other hand is now.

Club Masters was actually a really cool format and I think this could work as a long term regular league quite well, in my opinion.

Najin will fill the role that MVP does in SC2 Proleague of being a game-exclusive member.
8 teams are already there, it's just a matter of time until it starts; KT Rolster (Arrows and Bullets) CJ ENTUS (Frost and Blaze) Jin Air (Falcons and Stealths) Samsung GALAXY (Blue and Ozone) SK Telecom T1 (S and K) Incredible Miracle (1 and 2) PRIME (Optimus and Sentinel) NaJin (White Shield and Black Sword)

It's not that I didn't like Club Masters, but... I dunno, it's just kind of goofy. I see it as just a kind of relaxed, 'fun' tournament which nobody really takes completely seriously, because at the end of the day, these aren't the teams these players are going to be playing with when things really matter.

Like IM #1 would probably be the only team that wouldn't run a surrender at 20 minute pain train on them.
