Alistar is pretty much permaban by any competitive team and at high Elo. You ban Alistar if you want to win. Azubu didn't ban Alistar and didn't get anything for it in return. They were also already qualified for the finals at that point. The reason Azubu hadn't banned Alistar previously is because the other teams have banned Alistar. If they hadn't, I'm pretty sure Azubu would have banned/first picked.
Curse played well that game, no one is going to deny that. But neither would I read too much into that game.

Alistar also went unbanned in the two of the three Blaze vs Black games and the first Curse vs Blaze game. In none of those games did Azubu pick Alistar. In none of those games was Alistar first picked. He went unpicked in one of them.
Saint was the first person at this tournament to jungle Alistar against them. Both Black and Curse played support Ali in the other two games and lost. After seeing Saint jungle Ali, Blaze banned it for their first time all tournament.
This wasn't Blaze screwing around, it was them screwing up.

Azubu was trying things out no? Not totally trolling like this last game (I've seen M5 do stuff like this before with AP Shaco and stuff), but wanted to see what happens if you let Alistar through. They found out.

Regi does badly as AP Yi since he didn't build that much AP goes Frozen Heart for CDR. Black sneaks a Baron, TSM was always in the lead though despite some Regi derp. Eventually Regi sells FH gets a Death Cap and then game starts to end.
Black did some weird things too like AP trist bot with Karma support and IE on Riven.

Holy shit this is impressive.

I am so, fucking, confused

Holy fuck. Azingy so good. Can't believe his dreamed up comps/strats work against a serious comp out for blood.

These push games are funny as fuck.

Black committed to pushing mid too hard. After the first two towers they should have transitioned to pushing another lane, doing dragon, and/or sending 1 person with TP off to somewhere else.
With a 5 man push team, you either get inhib and instantly win the game, get an advantage and transition to farming a bit more while keeping the pressure, or just get outleveled and lose.

A for effort, for sure. That was pretty awesome.
|
TSM only winning because they broke the rules of ARAM, scumbags. TOO and Dyrus farmed top so even though they lost in kills/gold because of 3v5 mid TSM has a lot more exp.
