At any point of IEM Season 6 Championship, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Hannover but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 06.03.2012

SYDTKO is only decent at mid and that's allready taken by Crs strongest player.

So much better than any lol commentators, and I would actually give him the edge over a LOT of the SC2 guys as well. He's better than all the SC2 commentators if we completely ignore game knowledge in my opinion. An absolute pleasure to listen to, funny, very charismatic and I love listening to him to talk about anything. Very few commentators are like that for me, actually none of the SC2 commentators correctly are as Artosis and Day9 have become boring and repetitive. Oh yeah, Chill. I'd rate Chill #1 for me for SC2. Either way there's stuff like this that Tobi's way too good at: On March 08 2012 01:51 Two_DoWn wrote: Especially when you consider Crs has to downgrade back to SYTDKO top. I was actually pretty surprised but he played super well in my opinion, carried Crs pretty hard in most games I saw of him.

Pretty sure the only reason they keep Sydtko around is because they constantly have to replace someone out of their main roster. If they could have Pobelter/Nyjacky/Cop/Crumbz in every game I bet they would. On March 08 2012 01:58 daemir wrote: That Crs sub was a real hero, played very well for the situation he was put in. Well enough to carry Crs out of group stages. An amusing repeat situation for Curse. Forever advancing through groups with a sub 5th.

Then again this isn't so much a LR relevant topic, so PM me if you have any reply.

I don't know what to say here. I think LoL has received more viewers than SC2 for a while now, at events where both are streamed. LoL was at 200k viewers at one of the recent MLG events (*edit* might have been thinking about Dreamhack last summer), beating the max SC2 views at the same tournament. Guess I should try to find a source for that... Haha, in fact, it's a subject beat to death here on TL, apparently. Here's a thread from last summer about Dreamhack (no hard numbers), but it's pretty clear from the discussion that LoL was receiving more views and the "what, how, why" got talked about endlessly. http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=241587 There are a few other google results pointing at TL, and "not that discussion again!" responses, but I haven't yet found the original discussion. I'm happy for any game bringing in big numbers. It'll make it that much easier to promote other games. Instead of worrying about the future of SC2, maybe some of the LoL players who don't watch or play SC2 will notice SC2 during a tournament and get interested.

Dreamhack summer 2011 finals, broke 200k IEM Kiev, finals broke 215k Kings of Europe, apparently broke 100k, I recall seeing 90k on the main stream.

While knowing barely anything about DotA, Tobi was engaging and made things exciting. I thing he's probably the closest thing I've seen on any stream so far to a Korean style Commentator. His exclamations of "AHHH BLACK HOOOOLEEEE, BLAAAAACK HOOOOOOOLLLLLEEE!" are good.
