At any point of IEM Season 6 Championship, if you think of an interesting byline, please drop a sentence in the Pro Scene thread. At the end of the month, I'll catalogue the results of Hannover but also any interesting facts or events that happen over the course of the tournament. Thanks. Neo, 06.03.2012 |

Shen's definitely not a carry, but you have to get strong enough that you can bully around the enemy team. You have to be able to threaten a split-push effectively. TSM was just never strong. Irelia got irrecoverably behind and was just never able to do anything but die in team fights. TOO plays too timidly to really abuse Shen, imo.
Anyway, lol @ Curse losing to Ehome right now.

I've never thought that Shen jungle was very good seeing how his clear speed is pretty shitty and his ganks are so-so without farm. NP, Shen jungle so fast that TOO outfarms both rainman and reginald with Aegis/giants belt/mercs/hog as items.

Dota is HUGE in china. I would not be surprised to see it become #1.

And now Ehome won over curse. TSM had all the chances they could possibly have and still failed to advance.

about 30k on english and 10k++ on russian i think.
Could have been more than that but the final was plagued with very bad lag issues. In the end the whole Best of 5 was stretched over 8 hours ( with pre-shows and stuff). Still entertaining stuff though.
But yea team games are just more popular i guess. That's the way it is with real sports as well. Dota 2 and LoL also do not suffer from the " I like to watch it but do not play it at all" symptom that plague SC2.
People actually still enjoy playing Dota 2 and LoL.

Anybody and everybody that plays LOL gets a "watch this stream" front page after login if a Riot(or maybe just big) sponsored tournament is going on. It heightens the awareness of the competitive scene.
SC2 doesn't(I think? Haven't played SC2 in a while) do this. Also, because SC2 is such a Korea central sport everything is at really derp times for the US. Granted, this tournament starts shortly after 3am for me, but it also lasts for around 9 hours. GSL start times are a bit better but don't last as long.

Anyway, lol @ Curse losing to Ehome right now. Naw, new shen is most definitly a carry. Wits+Randuins as a core with more items on top of that and you are a BEAST damage and tank wise.

hähäh, it's our tournament, we are allowed. Would be pretty narrative finals though.

I have a feeling Crs is going to get rolled by CLG tomorrow.
SK vs. AAA should be fun though.

a carry is someone who can drag their team to victory. shen most definitely can do that after the buffs.

yeah. most people quit playing starcraft after the huge boom at releas settled down.
and as much as starcraft people like to claim otherwise, in the west the Esports viewerbase still is like 90% people that actually play (or played) the game

And ya, Tobi Wan, the guy who does all the dota 2 commentating is just AWESOME. So much better than any lol commentators, and I would actually give him the edge over a LOT of the SC2 guys as well.
