I'll give you more range, but I don't think he deals more damage.

Also you were talking about "far more damage in the midgame", which I take to be not only referring to laneing (or you have a very strange notion of 'midgame'). And that was simply untrue.

Zyra definitely deals more damage than velkoz and her damage is more reliable since it can go through a creep wave and she doesn't need to channel her ult.Velkoz is good later in the game but his laning is average if not bad.

Should settle this dispute with numbers like real nerds.

Quick math seems to indicate that Velkoz does way more damage than Zyra, both DPS and burst. Not really surprising since Zyra's CC is much better and Velkoz has a damage passive.

Claiming that "quick math indicates x" without presenting the math is not exactly useful. In fact it looks just fishy because it is a cop-out against people disagreeing with the assumptions build into your calculations. And there will be a lot of assumptions with plants & plantbuffs and the high amount of skillshots with different hitboxes and damage in ticks.

There is also the fact that zyra can get a full rotation without dieing very easily while velkoz is poke oriented and needs time to do damage.

They are kinda similar in that they are damage dealers from the support role but their roles afterwards are different.

Okay, present the math.

Pretty sure he was asking you to present your math.

And he's right. How did you factor in sustained plant damage? That's a HUGE part of her kit.

This isn't my thread.

You want to make it a good thread, do some work, don't be babies.

If you make a statement, it common courtesy to back it up as others have before you. You said "quick math indicates X", and laying out the math you used to reach conclusion X is standard. Don't tell others to "do some work" if you won't yourself.

Everything but W already slows/cc, what good is a rylai in that case?

Also people need to learn to ignore Ketara whenever this kind of argument shows up. No math is bad, but Ketara math is so removed from practical considerations that it doesn't matter.

Real problem with the math is just the raw numbers aren't the only thing that matter. How consistently you can land the damage is a big factor. Also as I said as zyra you can throw all your spells in 1 seocnd and die and still do ridiculous damage to everyone while cc-ing and velkoz can't do that.If he is left to do as he pleases and the enemy team groups too much then he can do more damage but otherwise definitely not.

In lane her autos are much stronger and her model is smaller which are big factors in laning.

Just wanted to say I don't think velkoz supp is bad but he is more situational and poke oriented than zyra.
