I don't see how Black Cleaver is good for him...magic damage is a huge part of Jax's DPS and building Black Cleaver doesn't benefit that at all. | ||

it helps that he literally outtrades everybody around levels 6 and even before then his auto w auto and stun are really good traders. he supports ganks so well, too. late game he's so beast | ||

He definitely isn't as bad as pre-nerf Jayce but he is in need of some tweaking. He straight up out lanes most top laners (granted not on the same level that Jayce used to) and even his less favourable matchups are more or less even. Add onto that the fact that he's got by far the strongest late game scaling and he's pushing into OP territory. It is true that there is always a top tier but Jax's top tier is too much above the rest IMO. Irelia is a good example of a hero that is top tier without being broken. She's got great mobility and scales very well but gets shit on by many toplaners in her early levels. There are many matchups that are nightmares for her (Jax is one of them, he's stronger at levels 1-4, weaker at level 5, and then just crushes her post 6 and outscales her) but she can trade that off for a stronger scaling into mid and late game. She gets beat early in return for beating you later. She fits well into almost any team comp but you'll be hesitant to first pick her cause the enemy can give her a real rough time with someone like Jax or Darius. Jax on the other hand beats you early and then brutally rapes you with his lamppost no lube style late. He fits well into almost any team comp and there's no drawback to first picking him, almost nothing gives him a real rough time in lane (and he massively outscales anything that can go even with him/beat him). I don't think he needs any major changes like what Ezreal and Jayce went through but I definitely think something needs to be done to tone down his power at some point in the game. He's a top 5 laner with the absolute best late game. | ||

Anyways, I was sitting on six items as Jax and wanted to try something new so I built that Hyrda thing that builds from Tiamat. Holy. Shit. That has to be the most broken item/champ combo ever. | ||

9/14/7 - in most cases the safest path. Mana for lane sustain, minion damage + general damage reductions and all the important points in offense. 9/21 - Weaker in lane until you have your ultimate to trade with and enough mana to actually do stuff, somewhat better after triforce is built. | ||
